Should prescale option be turned on? I tried with it off and sensitivity seems way too low.

Edit: Yes, it should be. Also, Mouselook speed should be set to twice that of the turning speed. From what I understand, mouselook is the vertical sensitivity while turning speed is the horizontal. By default, if both values are at 1, the horizontal sensitivity seems about half as much as the vertical, so setting Mouselook speed to 2 while turning speed is at 1 should fix it.

You can select the prescale option on or off in the calculator under Special Options.

Decided to play through this gem again as I wait for Doom Eternal to release, and I noticed that y-axis aiming isn’t 1:1 with the x-axis with either the prescale option disabled or enabled.

Would you mind taking a look at this again @DPI Wizard?

That might be the case, but to you have any option to set the axis separately?

Yes, through the console commands "m_pitch" and "m_yaw"

Updated it now, Y is locked to a different axis speed than X and is unaffected by prescale.

looks like they removed prescaling and replaced mouse_sensitivity with m_sensitivity_x and m_sensitivity_y.

It seems there are extra work to be done ?
I apply the settings as told, but the horizontal sensitivity seems to be way faster.

There should be a separate calculator option for "ZDoom + forks" because it seems to me that the calculations are inaccurate if I'm not using Brutal Doom, as in it feels slower. It feels like Mouse Acceleration to be honest but I couldn't find that in the settings.

What build/version/fork are you on? The calculations are for the latest builds currently, but maybe I should add some options to separate the builds.

Version 4.10.0, but I had completely forgotten about the version. That might be the issue since I haven't updated GZDoom in a while.

Ok, the calculations changed for 4.11 I think it was, but I'll look into adding pre-4.11 as an option.
