  1. hi i was just wondering if its possible to have FOV added to the calculator for Star Wars Dark Forces (The Force Engine Source Port) as atm its greyed out, the option is present in the game so i assume it was only recently added, thanks
  2. would it be possible to have FOV added to the calculator for this game? i noticed its greyed out at the moment, there is a FOV option in the game now which was possibly added recently
  3. yeah kinda, i changed the "Aim" tab from "All" to setup "hipfire X" & "hipfire Y" individually, not sure if it will help for Hunt Showdown, i had used the calculator for Jedi Knight only a couple of months beforehand & it worked fine with "All" so something has happened to make it go screwy as ive had the same thing happen to a couple of games recently, some were showing the gibberish before i adjusted the FOV
  4. still having issues with Jedi Outcast & RTCW & with COD4 in RTCW if i use a resolution of 1280x1024 ingame the calculations work perfectly but if i change the resolution in the Autoexec.cfg file to 2560x1440 then its too fast im using this command in the Autoexec.cfg file seta r_customwidth "2560" seta r_customheight "1440" seta r_mode "-1" vid_restart the instant i add it the sensitivity becomes too fast so maybe im doing something wrong EDIT: so i think i have solved the issue, as posted earlier i am using a WPS of 5 but i am also using windows at 200% scaling, so when i halved the calculated sensitivity it seems to be correct (360/cm is accurate now aswell) at this point im just gonna go with that as ive spent way to much time trying to figure this out but all 3 games seem to "feel" correct now
  5. tried reinstalling with no luck but turns out it was my mouse as reloading the DPI profile into the mouse hardware fixed it completely, strange that i have only experienced this with Q3 engine games, thanks alot for the mouse driver suggestion, seems that was indeed causing the issue
  6. i try reinstalling them tomorrow, i havent loaded them up in a long time so there is a chance something was changed, they arent modded but now that i think about it, i have edited the .cfg files extensively over the years lol thanks for the help, ill let you know how i go
  7. just tried doing that & it appears to be exactly twice as fast as it should be, going off the 360° Distance
  8. yeah i checked & i dont have "Enhanced Pointer Precision" on & have also turned off the accelleration in the game files, im at a loss as to why it isnt working correctly for me, as ive converted several games in the past & they have all been perfect (you can feel when its right) but this is way off, perhaps i am using a different version of RTCW & Jedi Outcast or i have something setup differently in the Autoexec.cfg files
  9. sorry if i am completely wrong here but i think the WPS part of the calculator for quake 3 engine games might not be right i tried setting up Return to Castle Wolfenstein (i use WPS "5" under the new windows mouse settings) & tried that in the calculator & it was way too fast, after thinking i had made a mistake & trying various different configs i figured i would give "8 (5/11)" a try in the calculator & it felt close too if not perfect, unless i am missing something that shouldnt be the case, also had the same result with Star Wars Jedi Outcast on a separate issue i am getting this S M-KW(O+Q(/KSIM,NU()THLOSiD) when trying to convert my Battlefield V sensitivity to Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
  10. sorry i somehow missed this in unsupported before i requested the game to be added recently im not able to know for certain but the new source port (TFE) "feels" like there is no acceleration or smoothing Downloads · The Force Engine

  18. I always base everything from BFV as that is my main game, as far as I can tell the games will first display their default FOV & FOV Type, so i just change the FOV until the Actual VFOV & HFOV numbers match, I don't touch the FOV Type I also make sure if im setting things like Sensitivity & FOV from ingame I change that in the location before beginning the calculation not 100% sure if this is the correct way to do it but it seems to feel right
