Hello together,
I've read a lot of monitor distance match etc here in the forum. In general I totaly agree to the statements why monitor distance match 0% is the best choice.
The most desired goal is to map muscle memory 1:1 in different games.
As I understand correctly, it is not possible to map the look mechanic 1:1 in every game. You have to choose 1 point for perfect monitor match. Therefore 0% ist the best choice, because it is mapped directly on crosshair.
BUT:
In CS:GO i did manual measurements.
With my sensitivity, I've measured following distances (HIP only - mainly I play pistol only, HS only, FFA in this game for AIM training):
100% ~6.3 cm
50% ~4.0 cm
25% ~2.2 cm
Attached, you can find 0% and 75% MM configuration to Apex Legends.
I've tried both configurations. Here my manual measurements:
0% MM:
100% HIP: ~5.2 cm ADS: ~6.5 cm
50% HIP: ~3.6 cm ADS: ~3.8 cm
25% HIP: ~2.0 cm ADS: ~2.0 cm
75% MM:
100% HIP: ~6.2 cm ADS: ~6.3 cm
50% HIP: ~4.0 cm ADS: ~4.0 cm
25% HIP: ~2.2 cm ADS: ~2.1 cm
For me, it seems that Apex fits almost perfectly in every point 0%-100% to CS:GO when I use 75%MM in HIP and ADS. When I use configuration with 0%MM, as we know, it fits only on crosshair.
What you think? Does I have some misunderstanding?
Best regards
