Well I would like that implementation too, but that would make soooo much work for DPI wizard, I think we can't expected that from him I bet he already has enough to do with Basic hip/ads sensitivity.
-
Ohh thats not good :/ I was pretty sure iron sight would include all other low zoom scopes because to be fair no one is using iron sights. The Default match at distance is 75% (16:9) in rainbow six, right?
-
I recently bought Rainbow six and I really like it so far. But I got a few questions to the calculator. Does "iron sights" include low level sights like the red dot, reflex and holographic? And should I use "Iron sights" or "ACOG" for calculating the sensitivity for the thermal-sniper-scope from Glaz? Or is that sight just not in the calculator yet? Greetings WhoCares?

(Horizontal resolution x (360 / HFOV) / Inches for a 360° turn ) = min. DPI for hitting each Pixel. Than you should round that value up to the nearest 100DPI (Or whatever DPI steps your mouse is supporting) and multiply it by 4. (because of Shannon's law :P) So first find a good sensitivity for you, calculate the needed DPI for it, and calculate the new sensitivity related to it again

I don't like Razer at all, so i will skip this mouse too Thank you for the little review

Few questions: Are camera_sensitivity x and y the numbers I have to replaced with the numbers the calculator gave me? So 5.0% from the calculatur would be managers.user:set_setting("camera_sensitivity_x", 0.05 ) managers.user:set_setting("camera_sensitivity_y", 0.05 ) ? If I wan't 75% match distance 16:9 than camera_zoom_sensitivity_x and y 0.395914 would be correct, or do I have to change it? Whats the base value of the fov_multiplier 1.285872, ? I can't find it I would like to have 90hfov 4:3 or 106.26 hfov/ 73.74 fvov 16:9 Greetings WhoCares

If the shape is even slightly like the DeathAdders one than I have to skip this mouse too :/

There are enough thread with discussion about viewspeed and explainings how it works. https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/forum/topic/622-can-someone-explain-how-viewspeed-works/ https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/forum/topic/582-need-slightly-more-clarification-on-monitor-distance-matching/?page=4 Why it feels not good for you? Because you played for a long time with 360-distance and you have get used to the new view speed. Very time you change your hip/ads sensitivity your aim will be off, because your muscles and eye to hand coordination have to get used to it again. But in the long run you will get much more benefits from using view speed other than 360-distance

Have a look

Update 142 changed the sensitivity ingame and addes new sliders for horizontal and vertical sensitivity. Still: My sensitivity seems to stay unchanged (with this mod) compared to many steam-users reporting much higher sensitivitys with their old settings. Can you confirm you mod is still working as intended?

Is there a "best" FOV for Matching Via Viewspeed from 2D?
WhoCares? replied to KandiVan's topic in Technical Discussion
Yeah, there isn't a clear answere whether high or low fov is better. On the one Hand you can get motion sickness on too low fov and don't see targets you would have seen with higher fov. On the other hand you might lose focus on whats happening in the middle of your screen because you see too much surrounding with high fov. (Some csgo players swear they have more focus on targets with low fov (4:3 aspect ratio instead of widescreen)) And distortion aka fish eye is a problem for a lot of players. For me it's the golden middle ground: 73.74 vfov (106.26 hfov on 16:9). And ist a good value for compatibility between games. Just doing the statement "higher fov is better" is a bit risky... -
Are Overwatch and CSGO the only games you play? If yes, than use 70% monitor match distance or better viewspeed, as KandiVan already mentioned. If you play other games as well, that dont allow you to adjust ADS sensitivity, than go with 75% match distance (16:9), because that the value a lot of games use as build in-default

Yeah the Razer DeathAdder shape is ridiculous. My Hands would't hurt after 10 mins of using it Thats the reason why I never bought it, even I would like to (And the Synaps software...) In my opinion, comfort is as important as perforance, because when you feel comfortable with a mouse you aim will better too. If you have a perfect sensore but you are scared of touching your mouse, it wont help u a lot^^

I just bought the Glorious XL Heavy mousepad. Its excellent! The mouse glides a lot "faster" /with less resistance in comparison to the Steelseries QCK HEAVY. I dont know if I like "faster" in the long run, but for now I find it really good.

Do I didn't get that window, and I don't have Java (Obviously you Need it when looking closer to the source Code...stupide me) and I dont want to install it, but I think I have to when I want to continue The ads-sensitivity is still much faster, so it worked only half-way...

Windows 7 vs Windows 10 DPI question
WhoCares? replied to jabbothehut's topic in Technical Discussion
If you are sitting at the same distance away from both a 24 and a 17.5 inch screen, the 24 Inch will feel much faster, because there is more distance objects on the Image will move, even tho the fov, aspect ratio and sense are the same. Edit: And for me 60Hz always feels slower than 144hz, even when the sensitivity is the same -
I thought I did but I guess there was nothing in my clipboard. I tested it and run the .bat a second time and there is nothing to copy/past in my clipboard :/ Can you copy out the bindings from your Input.ini and I put them in my Input.ini?
-
No matter what I do, the keybinding don't want to work :/ The fov in hip fire dont change regardless what num-key I press :/ (NumPad is enabled of cause )

Hi its me again Strange that you post this ADS sensitivity calculstions for Killing Floor 2 and Payday 2...that are my most played games in the moment Make me really happy to see this! Right now I use the custom FOV mod https://modworkshop.net/mydownloads.php?action=view_down&did=14930 and set it so I have 106.26 Hfov. (65*1.384615385=90vfov 4:3) Than I used the sensitivity the calculator tells me (4.9%), and link it with my ADS sensitivity and than use "FOV related sensitivity". With that, all scops feels good and ist close to match at 75% Screen distance due to some rough measurements I did (handtested). If I would switch to your (probaly more precise) solution, would that include all scopes? And would It be possible to get an 75% Monitor match? I don't like 0 % Grettings WhoCares?

First of all: Great work, I really appreciate this! But I have a few questions. 1: Do I have to run the "run.bat" ever again? 2 : Keys are NumPad 1-6 (from source Code), right? 3: My Fov never changes when zooming-in with any weapon regardless of what Num Key I press :/ That shouldn't be tha case, right? 4: Whenever I use a weapon with a different Zoom-Level-class (lets say lever Action to Pistol while combat), do I have to manuelly press the correct NumPads Key? 5: My ADS sensitivity feels to fast now (maybe ist just new for me cuz I played with lower ADS sense before ) Does the FOVOptionsPercentageValue is already included in the claculations? Mine isnt the Default one, it's 1.183560
-
As already discussed in other threads. Not every game does support adjustment for ADS sensitivity, but a lot of games have built in 75% monitor match distance. And 75% is pretty close (not perfect tho) to the new viewspeed function. Still a viable option.
