kovaak Having a trouble in call of duty modern warfare
fortunate reee replied to nightxmare911's topic in Technical Discussion
did your results look like this ? https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=715e8ae4f93d1dde5cb2e7c06a706fbf id make sure that is set to the correct setting under the fov option in game this can mess with your scopes ( just mentioning this because i have seen many others struggling with it ) -
legacy is for older cod gamers ( while it uses 0%) it has a set scope fov

the Fov cant be 106.26 unless you aren't using stretched which will mess with your tracking regardless of scopes i gave you the exact instructions above if you follow them your hipfire will be matched perfectly / and so will your scopes ( the scopes will still take a while but they should perform exactly like the aug / krieg would which is pretty nice ^all of this wont work unless you decide on what youd like to use stretched or native res mixing them messes up your "muscle memory" even under ideal conditions that is exactly why i mentioned this you should look up how to use stretched res in warzone on yt // or get used to 16;9 for easier conversions whatever you prefer if you want slower / tracking focused ads you have to change the ads/ scopes to 0% in this way ! everything above still applies ! this method will make you switch your csgo scopes value from 1.0 to some 0.8 value

a great starting point is the instructions / forums id recommend playing stretched res and sticking to 4;3 if it is supported (if you cant aim on 16;9 res ) general rule of thumg is if you dont understand a game specific setting dont touch it ( this applies to relative legacy ) should be relative by default and i'd recommend you keep it that way match your fov to be identical across games since you come from csgo that would be 73.74 vdeg then you just match your hipfire with 360 distance option and ads/scope with 133.33% vertical monitor distance ( both csgo and cod use that as their default) the end result will look somewhat similar to this https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=ec4fad1b8643161f5baeb4883f68ff81

you know about the impact having a different fov has on your viewspeed when using 360 hipfire too tired to explain it in full length rn but the method basically creates a custom res that conforms to the respective focal length allowing you to use the same 360 distance ( which feels pretty much identical due to the black bars ) ^has its limits unless you want to play with blackbars the size of a mini van but it works for switching between csgo and overwatch / valorant base fov
-
for apex you should stick to the settings file due to the difference OW, and cs is not far off either. ( a small difference in fov can mess with your aim more than you'd guess ) you could look up the focal length method on the forum that might work in you case changing your mouse acceleration in order to "fix " this non existent issue wont do you any good

the 2 go to options are 360 distance(and matching the fov ) or 0% ( and having different 360 distance thus not being uniform when it comes to movement ) during my testing i haven't found any better alternative to 360 +matched fov ( and if you think about it higher fov = smaller enemies ,which isnt necessarily favorable in any battleroyale game) going up to 73.74 vdeg would be viable for the games you mentioned its slightly more than 103 and is supported by most games besides of valorant and overwatch on that note make sure you are using the config file fov option in apex since the in game version isnt correct

you generally want to match hipfire and keep the fov at a similar level for the ideal conversion , the second you swap back to siee your movement (hipfire ) will feel off . the difference in fov + stretched this would be worth an attempt for a basic setup although (stretched res really aint it ) https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=b3ccdc15b9d387d9ee1385cf6b0ddc2a on a different not id recommend you try out 16;9 low fov at 73.74 (set in ini file) or 103 hor fov https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=bdd1a68a9ebd01e545857d2b8af16f51 if you want 1.0 ads in valorant https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=40fe31e066f880a5bc70978b2b87ffb6 if you want the most precise aim across al games a set up like this would be beneficial if you want to be good at both games , there is plenty of information and helpful guidelines in the instructions i highly recommend reading those instead of listening to your fav proplayer spreading his half knowledge of a topic he doesn't understand

How does stretched resolution affect FOV?
fortunate reee replied to filip74's topic in Technical Discussion
blackbars shows 90 of the 106 horizontal units stretched takes the 90 and streches them to fit 16;9 ( i dont like it cuz it needlessly messes with your aim) the calculator has an option that shows you the fov -
Does Cod Sensitivity feel a bit lower?
fortunate reee replied to 44JAX44's topic in General Gaming Discussion
ye that is why i mentioned the settings files being separately if its supported here you dont get banned its pretty much that simple the view speed depends on the applied zoom level (when using 0% ) so if a games iron sights have more zoom than another games iron sights the feel might feel different, different games tend to implement zoom differently that is totally fine tho since you get used to 0% conversions really quick -
Does Cod Sensitivity feel a bit lower?
fortunate reee replied to 44JAX44's topic in General Gaming Discussion
changing settings isnt messing with game files as long as the devs dont prohibit encrypt the settings file it jsut gives you a more exact way to match fov / sens across games ^ apex is a great example since their in game ninety isnt actually 90 im using vdeg for auto fov since it is the easiest number to memorize the fov type you use for auto fov literally has no impact all that matters is that hor / vert fov match up if you prefer using 103 then setting it to hdeg res 103 will be the easier number https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=3401eb08526382a490b4ff586568a5a8 -

t https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=90791cafebe10fd5ca41908bccc360cd like this try this (make sure you turn on affected , it is right under the fov ) -
1x scopes cap at 83.33333 ads anything above that value only applies to higher zoom scopes (glaz /khali and acog ) and since there is no scaling the only way to get the same 360 distance on all scopes is setting your xfactor to 1.0 and ads to 100 however ! that is about as great of an idea as using 83 in the first place ( it isn't ) the only decent way to get a nice ads value in siege is simulating uniform soldier aim or any kind of ads scaling by changing numbers until they fix the lack of options https://r6fix.ubi.com/test-server/TTS-20721-Scope_sensitivity_needs_to_be_adjusted_per_scope__requires_separate_sliders_for_1x__ACOG__and_Kali_s_two_scope_magnifications_

CS:GO to Hipfire & ADS in other games.

ideally you want to match the fov between games hipfire (so your 360 calculations dont get tainted by a different fov ) if you are calculating csgo to other games you should have your setup looking something like this https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=5e61c75341d69ecf91235ee817849430 you would just replace apex with whatever game you want then use that games all option tarkov is a special case since it has 20 different factors that impact the aim (speed /distance wise ) and its difficult to get even somewhat uniform -> as far as i am aware , i haven't touched the game for that reason there is a couple of good instructions in the thread that is labeled instructions definitely worth a look -
my sweet spot is somewhere between 30-40 usually sit at 35/34 ish ( since i mostly play games like apex ,siege or cod where scoping is beneficial ) using the psa method id get something like 40-45cm but i chose to go with a quicker hipfire for the reason stated above ^ currently on 106.26/103

don't take your advice from reddit , that pretty much applies to any topic
-
contrary to popular belief it is not recommendable to just stick to one option id recommend trying to adopt a more hybride style aim wide swings with your arm and small adjustments with your wrist 0 to 45 degrees(or whatever your reliable wrist flicking range is) wrist anything above with your arm 40cm/360 should suit this method well and the mouse grip is absolute preference you could go above but if you plan on playing other games (potentially more fast paced shooters ) id stick with the 40 since anything above can be pretty slow / inconvenient
-
id generally stick to something like this then https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=f1bc46be0fb3eb89882401cc5adf98bd if you match your fov across the games you should keep your precision across both games (the scopes might take some initial time to get used to but overall this is a setup that is pretty viable )
-
i changed my global fov to 103 for the time being i noticed that i was hardly even playing csgo anymore and all the other games supported 103 but if i had to id do 360 with blackbars since it pretty much combines 360 with 0% (unless he does stretched csgo then he wont be lucky regardless)
-
ideally you want to match the fov exactly https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=79d2d28cc478d28f711c0f4f56239fae when you play stretched in both games you should be able to have 73.74 vertical fov with 90 hor
