my xm1 works as it should however a small deviation is pretty usual even with high end sensors /mice dpi isn't relevant just match (as long as the deviation is consistent there wont be issues ) on my g305 having a slightly different dpi was fairly average id consider this a tool that helps you match your setup -------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=f6b1eb15e8bf38a13061251c3f76c9ab there shouldn't really be any effect on your gameplay

could try this using the same scale for your scopes would be a decent first step apex uses 0% /focal length by default so sticking to 1.0 ads would actually be all you'd have to do in order to have the ideal tracking you seem to be on a comparably low sens which could negatively impact your experience when playing games that require zoom usage of scopes if you don't want to raise your 360 distance you could try raising the scale to above 100 ,130 ish maybe which should work better when it comes to staying consistent when compared to mixing two opposite scaling methods fun fact the classic concept of "muscle memory" is about as accurate as your average weather forecast + if you link the calculator page you are using the share option that can save both of us alot of time and back and forth with the old screenshot game

this should be alright ^ my link might have shown 133% for windows /2d it just shows the same number you used before changed it to 0% then back to 360 dist has no impact "bam that’s it? " pretty much (all + auto fov + 360dist+ zoom scaling of your preference and you are set) (i like using 16;9 73.74 vdeg / 106.26hdeg 16;9, csgo default on 16;9 ) whatever you end up using you can jsut but it in the auto fov thing and then double check here "I believe it was you who months ago recommended just moving away from 4:3 and with all the time off from Siege it seems worth it. It doesn’t drive me insane to look at now so I used 16:9. " (that does indeed sounds like me, still stand by that ) I visually imagine DPI Wizard as floating on a cloud of infinite patience lol. I know I’m not the only one who struggles with this. ^-> can only agree

might have overseen the scaling you wanted to use if you are using 178% or 133% just replace the 0% with https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=3dd537c896f6c60d1a9ee6cba37cccab ^178%/1.77778 cod scaling https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=c912b67e34006783d8404a55c65c9c8f ^133% /1.33333cod scaling * ^current the scaling is only available on the test server i mentioned all the other stuff in the post above grip type is mostly preference in the end of the day i just use what works for me /with my mouse and my hands no point in forcing something that isnt comfortable in the long run if i was you id ignore the scopes fov and stick to the scaling option you like so either 1.7778 1.3333 or 0.0000 then only match the basic fov you set in the general settings ie hipfire fov so you can retain the similarities in movement if this isnt what you sue for hipfire then id suggest replacing it this will automatically match the fov accordingly

https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=412a91afa0485980181002c7bc328ce4 this should work perfectly on the current siege test server ^ https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=be07c645ea2942c513b0520f6346193 ^this will work for both hipfire and 1 kind of scope at a time (i'd suggest sticking to 1x scopes) on the current live server -------------------------------------------------------------------------- matches fov hipfire 360 + scopes using focal length which id personally consider to be the ideal -------------------------------------------------------------- on a side note there usually isn't any great reason not to stick with the all option if the calculator offers one
-
the only 360 distance you should focus on is the one you use for hipfire since scopes tend to have a wide variety of zoom levels and field of views matching 360 doesn't really work as well my go to would look something like this (its close to 38 yet focal length which is pretty nice) https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=5b19e7b67903efceb55e3bd6cee491ea while the scopes 360 distance will vary strongly depending on the zoom factor the overall tracking and even flicks should feel similar due to the identical the independent and affected fov thing is mostly preference (best shot would be trying both and using the one you like the most) by matching hipfire 360 + fov between the 2 games you get the same 360 and perception of rotation speed

the forums here are filled with really decent info if you are interested in more feel free to ask anything

id suggest using any scale you feel comfortable using instead of trying to recreate the non scaled option siege was using before this most recent tts ,the old values were not derived from any kind of logic all of them should help with having a uniform feel across all scopes might take a bit to get used to but its certainly a decent long term investment considering the amount of thunt or warmup these will save you --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- btw you don't need to use kix multiplier in order to have the same hipfire btw + https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=f376f867f84e83c679ec8386d07e908b ^that way you can set the hipfire number to any number you want while retaining the same distance ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
if there was an alternative surefire way to match hipfire 360 +feel id do it but for the time being i am somewhat bound to this
-
agreed its a large size difference in that case ,i use 106.26 myself and that setup works like a charm kind of the reason why i don't recommend using huge fov discrepancies when avoidable . doesn't make the setup unusable to me , used to play native cs on 4;3 screen tho so i feel very comfy with blackbars
-
just watch you wording and try not to say stuff that implies things you might not have intended to say saves us all time and effort properly explaining things down the road
-
there currently is a bug that crops out some if the ui you'd normally have on 16;9 (bullet counter on the bottom right ) might not be purely visual

i don't care about you recommending this to other i care about you pretending that it is the only choice out there when it isn't and you are merely using not wanting to change a slider to justify your decision which you don't have to do at all unless you use sniper rifles odds are you spend 90% of your time not using a scope in csgo and or valorant if you want to use that setup of yours i don't mind at all be my guest "It's a solution but imo its half assed, what I suggested is way more practical in long term. " ^your opinion, if you want to recommend it to other how it is "comfortable at the price of precision " tell them its what you use and i couldn't care less just phrase it correctly next time and we wont have to waste out time like this : )

https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=930a92527303703a5a7eb168ef8c12db this would solve both issues at the same time you get 360 distance and the same feel even at the different fov
-
you have been here pretty long as well so you should be aware that there is a tendency to make uninformed decisions given the fact that he asked about higher fov 120 in cod your method wouldn't help with retaining his aim nearly as much as a setup like this would https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=930a92527303703a5a7eb168ef8c12db + the last time i actually had to zoom in in both valorant /csgo has been pretty far back hardly so i wouldn't necessarily make it out to be as much of an issue as your over dramatization makes it out to be . 0% / focal length scaling is arguably the only non-arbitrary way to scale your sens and fov there is little reason not to use it if you have the option to do so even if you have to change 2or 3 small numbers every now or then
-
key word "personally" dont run around telling others what to do pretending to know whats best its lazy and objectively spoken not the best choice
-
you miss the point you don't have to change the multiplier the scale doesn't matter https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=85050d161ed899574adf6a70b3b99fe0 you can use whatever scaling you like and still get useable results https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=5c928e3debcf5568616ce1b99c2b9ee1 you can just as well use 0% scale or even 133.333 vert https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=4b10223361aa6c0a9ebd4dd2cba5b985 + ----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- you can this is only a comfort of life matter in this specific case (doesn't prevent you from using the right modifier with the right gun) lets not portend that we cant just insert the right value which takes what 2 seconds ? if i get to decide if ill have to change a couple of values for having an objectively better multiplier(0% scale ) ill take that hit since in reality we all know that valorant is mostly hipfire and 1or maybe 2 scopes you end up using somewhat regularly . telling some guy to "just use 100% horizontal because that is what valorant uses as its default ,is alright if all they do is play valorant ." that solution couldn't be further from smart for someone that might end up playing other games as well same thing goes for your post in the apex thread ----------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- objectively not true you can change your scopes behavior in all of the games you mentioned apex even has(optional) multiple ads sliders allowing you to use any scaling you want having to change a number every couple games or even rounds doesn't prevent you from playing or even being good at the games you mentioned going around spreading that kind of half informed stuff shouldn't be your go to

yo is this am bug or is 0% literally 46 across the board this seems interesting tho , looks like as if they actually listened to the feedback

legacy largely impacts the fov you have literally no reason to use legacy (unless you only play old cod games and only old cod games) using relative with a similar fov to the other games you play would be my choice
