using custom res and stuff like that has been pretty much common for 10 years so i would worry about that part if you mean this one which seems to be new that shouldn't worry you all that much its just a preventative measure against lawsuits in the case that someone tries to overclock their screen and makes their screen blow up since you can access both aspect ratio related as well as power consumption related settings in here so as log as you dont go above your refresh rate /timings you should be fine - messing with the timings / refresh rate of your screen would technically be overclocking which has the potential to hurt the longevity of your screen !this does not apply to custom resolution! this here is the setting that can be changed so in your case this might look smth like this depending on your monitor only really have to set the res to what it tells you to and then try it 1 when using the resolution the calculator spits out you get next to indistinguishable results ie your 360 distance should feeel the same 2 when using some random 16:9 blackbars value in game that could be close to value the calc might give you but 1 would be the better choice

if you dont mind loosing large parts of your screen to black bars id suggest trying this : https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=93f485255436d1e9792b60ea1c687743 you kind of have to create a custom resolution/ give up large parts of your screen which is the primary down sight when switching between 120 and 103 the price you pay gets smaller when the jump is smaller . definitely worth experimenting since it will allow you those hipfire 180s

mdv0% is advanced and all 50 standard tries to use the old system which didn't follow any kind of logic

Thanks in advance, Siege to Warzone
fortunate reee replied to Grogan12's topic in Technical Discussion
-90 vdeg fov (siege) is above max fov in warzone -not using a scaled ads version is counterproductive (if you want fast ads use 178%mdv /100%hor) don't mix and match random numbers -

Call of Duty Warzone konfig file Sensetivity
fortunate reee replied to TorenLeeKunze's topic in Off Topic Discussion
i this case you don't really have to modify the save file most of the time changing this to in game will be enough at least for cod this will give you values you can simply insert in game -
Mouse DPI Question.. 1600 vs 3200 DPI Valorant
fortunate reee replied to lolminhV's topic in Technical Discussion
i don t think there is a list like that , has very much to do with different sensor implementations and those largely depend on the manufacturer 3200 would be the highest id go with some mice but its hit or miss most of the time (at least in my experience) generally safe to stick to something like 1600 don't think there is a modern sensor that struggles with that given features liek windows pointer speed there isnt much benefit to going much higher unless you are into acceleration -

warzone How to get 1:1 sense in Warzone?
fortunate reee replied to baggyprince's topic in Technical Discussion
neither csgo nor val have 1:1 360 distance csgo val each at 1.0 ads having the same distance / 360 when scoped in would be this and using it isnt beneficial at all you will quickly notice that this wont benefit your aim since high zoom will always feel too fast https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=44f4fd901f05d7344e26421e273eab56 this would be an example for what you could do when converting val to warzone suggest these 2 for the best results -
Stratched resolution sensitivity
fortunate reee replied to Stavrogin's topic in Technical Discussion
if you want consistent behavior there are 2 options you exclusively do stretched res or you stick to native res you can only have one axis behave similar not identical since it messed with perceived speed more than i messes with actual distance -
4:3 stretched to 16:9 native. How to get the closest?
fortunate reee replied to lupan's topic in Technical Discussion
mdh 0% would get the horizontal axis in line still wont be of much use , not relying on stretched res would be a rock solid way to match games perfectly -
has been denied the exact reason stated above great example tho (pretty sure this has been requested more than once already)

yes https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=d64507c862268fb11089eb656191b710 it gives you the same or at least a similar 360 distance that way the aspect ratio part just changes the actual screensize to make the feel identical instead of giving you a super slow https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=b22890d00d04e70881c24683eb982af0 like this

the conversion does what its supposed to do the issue with fortnite is mostly that the games fov is very small you can try to use and match yur resolution in games with locked fov or try another method which will always have another flaw like 360 distance which would feel too fast kind of have to min max it depending on your preference
-
yes it is and its about the same quality as your average final mouse product

might just be the biggest scam in gaming history combining the looks of your average asset flip with twitch drops and gambling to have the fully rounded final meme experience

Conversion of sensitivity from 2D to 3D windows
fortunate reee replied to Vaccaria's topic in General Gaming Discussion
the point of having a decent grip , set up and even settings boils down to consistency its all about getting something you can reproduce most of the time ie a natural position. contrary to your belief there has been a ton of individual /public research on the topic as well as gaming and office ergonomics that can gets you to a pretty decent level of consistency. ( the only issue is that we are all individuals and everyone has to find a position and grip that is reproduce-able for themselves ) this picture soften used to help new players with finding a mouse that fits their preference in grip style and size didn't really specify if you were using horizontal or vertical 100%, with 0% that aspect is insignificant but with 100 that can make a sizable difference when default would be 100% mdh (which is used by many for the exact reason you stated for not liking 0% or 100%) in the end the whole setting aspect boils down to preference so if view speed or mdv 200 whatever is your preference that is great but that wont make it correct or most of the other players out there. a given 3d sens also somewhat depends on the game you play since playing a tac fps on 20cm/rev will cause you more harm than good while playing a game that heavily requires tracking like apex on anything past 50cm/rev will achieve the same level of harm on the other side of the spectrum. the aspect of having to train each scope separately is debatable since most aim trainer users would tell you that aim training is more about training your had eye coordination than it is about training a specific scope ( a great aspect of using a scaled option like 100 or 0% is that once you understand 1 scope you understand them all) if you are interested in some actual pseudo science in regard to the topic i highly suggest joining the sparky or kovaaks discord https://discord.gg/kovaak you'll either have alot of fun or get bullied into submission : ) another aspect you kind of left out would be good acceleration(povohat etc ) which is used to counter the issue you faced with slowness without having you use super fast sense mouse acceleration discord: https://discord.gg/aRdvmDkd5E -

BF4 Uniform Soldier Aiming coefficient
fortunate reee replied to lindsey erwin's topic in General Gaming Discussion
1.33 is 133%vertical monitor distance -> this one is often used as default is games like cod battlefield etc doesn't make it any better than 0% 0.000 is 0% monitor distance (vertical/horizontal) ->this one is widely considered to be superior for scopes same pixel ration =same tracking across all scopes the rest you can figure out in the instructions -
1.you don't really have to modify the settings.ini on this case the game lets you use multiple decimals even when entered in game 2. you should use the fov value you like not the games base fov this mostly serves as a reference ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- as a user there is little reason to touch the setting , if you have 1 game you wish to match with insurgency (using apex as an example , which uses a multiplier since the games in game default values are messed up ie 90 isnt actual 90 lets say this is apex 90 an i want the same fov but i dont know the fov type of either game we just use auto fov and set it to a fov type like vdeg for which we know the 90 fov value for which in this case is 73.74 and thus we will never have to worry about matching fov ever again (there is no reason not to use auto fov ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ tested the values a couple of days ago and besides of insurgencies horrible in game performance the inputs/fov felt correct when applied through in game

Attempting to match OS cursor to game sense
fortunate reee replied to Nimble's topic in Technical Discussion
the crux in this specific case is the different fov (an you trying to match 360 without considering the difference in fov) https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=57e1b3d9c6597825031a1f894fd086e0 https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=5398d2bdf4c381fa6110db9f4508f592 as you might be able to spot there is a noticeable fov difference if you want to match from game to game while retaining similar 360 distance even with a significant change in fov your best option is using focal length https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=cc4f7a5889d60a1238ce497dd591618c it costs you a significant amountof screensize *the links are based on my conversions if you want to use them in your case id suggest changing the dpi, resolution/screensize to match your actual values if you want help based on your settings id highly suggest using the share option since that can save everyone involved plenty of time /effort -
looks like you were matching scope to scope just use the all option there is very little reason to match 1 scope to another https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=513d43f681b5a8d73e3b98cf560ca328 like this costs me a bit of screen size but my 360 matches perfectly and the view speed isn't different even though the fov is capped i use 0% scale on most if not all games so this is guchi in my case if you are using 1.333 coefficient in cod then you might as well set ^ to 133% vertical monitor distance

What monitor distance coefficient should I use?
fortunate reee replied to Rihta's topic in General Gaming Discussion
https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=473fde20069ee160342041b309de1ce4 share exists for a reason you can open and save this link this is apex in game 90 if you want actual 90 you will have to change a couple of numbers in the game files , as long as auto fov is on the calculator will tell you what value to set in the other games you select so you shouldbe guchi either way. as long as this is set up this way scopes will perform exactly like they do in apex at 1.0 ads this is what pyroxia mentioned : ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- legacy has little to do with uniform soldier aiming, it just changes your fov and scope fov its also very inconsistently implemented (stick to in cod ) uniform soldier aim is beneficial .(Because it does make the ads slower.) ^yes it does scale the ads sens with the zoom similar to apex legends , at least when you are using 0% this part is pretty well explained in the instructions and some other forum posts
