Why does Viewspeed make my sens so slow?
DPI Wizard replied to lutthen's topic in General Gaming Discussion
The old Viewspeed is active now, you could try again. Should be pretty close to Monitor Distance 70% though. The FOV type will automatically change to the type the game you select uses. The idea behind changing method is so you can easily match FOV's between games that use different method. For instance if you want the same FOV in BF1 and is CSGO, select FOV Type "Horizontal Deg. | 4:3 Base" and enter 90 in the FOV field (so it is identical to CSGO) for BF1, and the output will show you what you need to configure in BF1 to match CSGO (Config FOV). -
I think there's an issue with how I integrated the formulas, as changing FOV and resolution do not alter the output at all. Reverted back to the original method and moved the new one here while I'm looking into it.

Actually I think you found an issue with how Viewspeed is working now, so I'm rolling back to the original implementation and setting up an experimental calculator for the new method -

Ok, then you're better off using Monitor Distance 75% actually. I'll try to make the whole stretched/black bars/original thing easier to understand in an upcoming update. -

Are you playing with black bars or stretched in CSGO? -
The discrepancy is a combination of the mouse sensor not being exactly 400 DPI and how accurate you can measure manually. This discrepancy is constant though, so when you convert from one game to another the should feel the same regardless of the output showing the wrong distance due to the factors above. What results do you get from the DPI Analyzer?
-
Make sure you have selected Viewspeed or Monitor Distance in the Convert To field, and not 360 distance.
-
First convert to hipfire, then select ADS and use the value from hipfire in the Sensitivity 1 field. The output will show you the ADS sensitivity to use in-game.
-
Should be 106.26 still, is your resolution detected correctly?
-
Fixed WPS now. Changing DPI will not yield a different result as long as they are the same on both input and output.
-
Indeed, forgot to add the WPS modifiers, updated now.

Calculator updates Viewspeed is modified to be more dynamic. If you prefer the old function, use Monitor Distance 70% which is almost the same Monitor Distance now defaults to 75% instead of 50% The default conversion method for premium members is now Viewspeed Game added Destiny 2 Game updated Dirty Bomb - Added Sight Sensitivity

Added with hipfire and ADS sensitivity!

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds)
DPI Wizard replied to DPI Wizard's topic in Supported Games
The config settings are a bit messy in PUBG right now. If you set it in the file, it will not show in-game even though it's actually changed. But if you change the sensitivity in-game, it will overwrite any changes you did to the file. So if you change the file, do not touch any settings in-game. -
The new Viewspeed is live! Thanks a lot to everyone contributing to this! Unfortunately I can't plug the formulas directly into the code, I need to work them a bit so it takes some time. And I also need to find the formulas for reverse conversion. But it helps a lot with the way you organized the first post @Drimzi! It's all done now, please test it and report any weird stuff or if it works as expected.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds)
DPI Wizard replied to DPI Wizard's topic in Supported Games
Check the Game Info section in the output, it has an "Affected By" field which tells you if the game is affected by FOV or not. In this case it means that Quake Live's 360 distance stays the same when you change FOV, while PUBG's 360 distance changes based on the FOV. -
Added! Sorry for the delay, forgot that I started on this a while ago. It was a bit tricky to figure out the scaling, but it's done now.
-
Tested hipfire and aim now, and they seem to be good. What specifically is not working for you?
-
That's just the default value. Check out the two videos on the front page if you haven't already, they should explain a lot.
-
You do not need to enter them, they are just listed here so you know the valid range of the sensitivity.
-
Yes, for the closed beta. It takes anywhere between a few hours and several days depending on the complexity of the game.

Game added Midair Game updated Escape from Tarkov - Updated aiming sensitivity.

While this game has a nifty feature that allows you to set the mouse distance via the console, calculating monitor distance etc. is a bit more tricky... So here it is! View full update

I think that's a reasonable way of doing it since they don't match.
