That's the best way to go about it, yes.
-
Correct, this is the reason why such games can't be added to the calculator, it's almost impossible to get a stable sensitivity. For some games it does work to lock the FPS assuming your computer can keep it stable.

Try to set the polling rate to 125 Hz, there's should be a huge difference from 1000 Hz in 360 distance if it's affected by smoothing.
-
It varies, in some games it only affects mouse, others both.

It's not very normal or intentional by the developers of the game, but it happens in quite a few games. It's the same issue if you use a mouse.

Without having tried this specific game, my guess is that this is the issue yes. There's plenty of games in the Unsupported category on this site for this exact reason.

Correct on the ADS. For best hipfire accuracy, use the config file calculation and set both the MouseYawSensitivity, MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit and DefaultFOV based on the output from this: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=185fdd1e576e2de9925e1abea3b78d28
-
If you also match the FOV in R6, you can actually use the default ADS settings as R6 scale the sensitivity exactly like "Legacy BO". There's a slight discrepancy if you set the FOV and sensitivity in-game instead of accurately in the config file. To do the calculation you need a premium subscription, but here's the link: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=5bc7b6357a8c9a4231f7396013e83f81

The game maxes out at 1.642857 (which is 115 hdeg 4:3), and this is enforced by the calculator to avoid errors. If you used 1.7 before this enforcement was in place, the old calculations were wrong.

Despite being named the same, they are not identical. They don't have the same FOV, so their 360 distance will be different with your calculation. https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=08ae9e61281f43366d852ce341f297f0

Am i doing right? My Hunt Showdown Settings
DPI Wizard replied to Dissorda's topic in Technical Discussion
Btw, just noticed a bug when you convert to Windows from a 3d game, only the "Windows / 2D" conversion method is used. Working on fixing it now, but if you want to test 360 distance for ADS, just clear the "Convert to" game. -
Am i doing right? My Hunt Showdown Settings
DPI Wizard replied to Dissorda's topic in Technical Discussion
You have done it correctly. The FOV for ironsight is less than half of hipfire FOV, so the 360 distance is over twice as long. It might feel slow if you're used to turning around while ADS'ing, as MDH 0% is optimized for tracking a moving target. If you use ironsight while e.g. going inside buildings and turning around corners etc, 360 distance might be a better option. It all depends on how you play and what you prefer though. -
Correct, but depending on your preference, hipfire with MDV 0% will either feel very slow or very good since the FOV difference is so big. If it feels slow, stick to 360 distance instead.
-
It's more common to use 360 distance, yes. But some do prefer a FOV based match instead since it keeps the hipfire aim consistent, rather than the 360 distance. If you are able to match the FOV it doesn't matter though.
-
Use this as the base for your calculations: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=8374312a4b7c469c4f28639cfce9a865 Any game you select to convert to will automatically match the FOV as close as possible. For Hipfire you can choose between 360 distance or MDV 0% depending on what you prefer.

Rainbow Six Siege Multiplier Bugged
DPI Wizard replied to Delter's topic in Feedback, suggestions and bugs
This calculation is correct. If it doesn't match up with what you actually have, make sure you have entered the correct multiplier (sure it's not 0.002230?). If it is correct, then it can be caused by a raw input bug in R6 that some experiences that can be solved by turning raw input off, or your mouse driver that loads a different DPI when you start the game. -
Sons Of The Forest is added.

The sensitivity slider is not accurate, expect some discrepancy. View full update
