Add support for Manifold Garden
DPI Wizard replied to Zekfad's topic in Feedback, suggestions and bugs
Added now. PS, post request in the Game Request thread, it's a lot easier to keep track of them that way -
Use the config file for best accuracy. View full update

If you give me the specifics on how to get the weapons and sights, I can add them if they're not too much work getting my hands on. Trainers/mods that make them accessible is also an option. I could obviously do this myself, but it's a lot more time efficient if you just know it What exactly is this method, and is it something you can't do in the calculator?
-
Yes, it's always been like this. Any entered value that are shared between aims will be kept so it's less to fill out when you switch between them, Since WoT only have one sensitivity setting, this entered value is directly applied to the aim when you switch. It's the same in for instance PUBG: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=5ce6ef29b950a79e72b6f3e2a449926d
-
It just keeps the Sensitivity 1 value, there's no conversion going on here. For OW2 it also keeps the Sensitivity 1 value, but fills in the default value for Multiplier 1.
-
Multiplier 1 should not be enabled in this game, as only Sensitivity 1 is used for both look and aim. Is the Multiplier 1 field unlocked for you?
-
You need to set the 1.25x sensitivity to 0.5, and be sure to use the resolution and sensitivity that you have in your game etc. https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=cff8bef42a975ef8f63877ca236ca31b No, there's unfortunately absolutely no rhyme or reason to what ADS in different games are. It's literally all over the place; In some games ADS has the same FOV as hipfire, in others it might be zooming as much as a 4x in BF2042.
-
That was my link again, but your description is right. When it comes to 1:1, there is no such thing unless the FOV is exactly the same. With different FOVs you will have to convert the sensitivity in some way. What this conversion does (MDV 133% Scale 50%) is to scale the ADS exactly the same as you have it in BF2042.
-
That would be MDV 133% with Scale 50% in the calculator: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=9d00d37ff54125ef61b276206c5941f4

Questions about the magnification of Scopes
DPI Wizard replied to Scca's topic in Technical Discussion
There's no universal way of doing this, how scopes scale varies across the board, and there no way of knowing how a specific game scales the scopes without analyzing every one of them, unless the game actually provides accurate info regarding this. Scopes can scale these ways, amongst many others: By dividing the horizontal FOV, so a 2X for a hipfire FOV of 90 is 45. Same as above, but for the vertical FOV instead. Actual optical magnification. As the three above, but not affected by changing the hipfire FOV. As the three top ones, but the base is not the hipfire FOV. A random FOV for each scope with no relation to the stated power or hipfire. A random scaling to hipfire. +many more The actual stated power of the scopes (2x, 3x etc) in the games are completely arbitrary when you compare different games. Sometimes even within the same game they do not make any sense compared to each other. The only way is by manually analyzing everything, as I do when the scopes are added to the calculator. -
You should in most cases use a conversion between ADS and scope in different games. None of the aims have the same FOV, so if you want the same aim you'll need to use a FOV based conversion. 360 distance can in some cases be useful for low powered ADS though. What exactly is your BF2042 settings?

Generation Zero - iron-sights vfov
DPI Wizard replied to The_Fartist's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Generation Zero is not added because it has a terrible amount of smoothing. For this reason analyzing any aim FOV accurately is also out of the question. While it could probably be somewhat estimated, it's kind of useless since the sensitivity is so inaccurate anyway. -
It's iron sight ADS only, I don't really have access to the weapons in the game, so it's kind of hard to add anything else unfortunately.
-
This option is added now
-
Ok, thanks for testing. Some other variable must be affecting the input, I think I've tried turning pretty much everything on and off without it doing anything to the sensitivity.
-
Not sure what's going on here, but did you try the sensitivity matcher? Here's me testing it with your exact settings:
-
If you measure the distance you have to move your mouse to move the cursor in the game menus from left to right edge, is it the same in The Last of Us and in CSGO?
-
For the most part yes. There's obviously a mathematical reason why it's close, but I don't think it was the intention of the formula, it just turned out to be this way.
-
Feeling is subjective, so what feels best depends on your personal preference.
-
I guess you figured it out; if you're using a FOV higher than 1.642857, you have to enter it as a multiplier for it to work. This is the only way the calculator can know how to scale both hipfire and ADS as they use different values when it's above 1.642857.

This information is useful when you want to match the conversion setup to the game to mimic how it scales the sensitivity. You should absolutely not use this information from the game you are converting to, just from. Say you have the CSGO zoom sens set to 0.7, and you want to mimic this scaling and use it to convert to other games. Based on the "Affected by" information you then know that you can just set the conversion to MDV 133.3333% scale 70%, and the calculator will perfectly match this setup, like in this example: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=55db3a633ef505b55a04f7a046355788

Checked it now, and the calculations are still 100% correct. Tried with different polling rates, windowed, vsync on/off, different frame caps etc, but nothing affected the sensitivity. Can you try with Kovaak's sensitivity matcher and see if that does a perfect 360 with your settings?

Ok, I'll check if the latest update changed anything now!
