Hi,
I've been trying to figure out what my actual DPI is but I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right based on my results. I did three tests with the same mouse. "Enhance Pointer Precision" is off and I measured the distance the mouse traveled in real life using a tape measure.
For 1000 DPI and 1600 DPI I Chose
Target Distance: 1 Units: Inches Axis: X+ WPS : 6
For 2000 DPI I chose:
Target Distance: 0.5 Units: Inches Axis: X+ WPS : 6
RESULTS:
For 1000 DPI it showed an actual DPI of ~550
For 1600 DPI it showed an actual DPI of ~900
FOr 2000 DPI it showed an actual DPI of ~1380
I'm using the "James Donkey 112 Gaming Mouse" which reports to have 3 DPI settings (1000,1600, and 2000). Could it be that this is simply a cheap mouse and the actual DPI shown in the DPI Analyzer are correct?
Thanks in advance!
