bug? ads slider in r6 still max out at 200 tho
-
more question.... is raw input still not working properly in r6 right now? the last time i check in this thread dpi wizard said it still have issue.
-
question : if i change the fov here with the decimal point in GameSettings.ini, will it actually use this value as VFOV in game or it will get rounded up to 71 anyway? in the past i think it gonna get rounded up because of ui in in-game setting page.
-
I aware of that too. I do know each zoom scope's FOV are tied to hipfire FOV that is why i use in the conversion. also thank you for answering my first question. I understand that you were trying to help me so I dont get anything wrong from using the tool on this website but I am pretty sure you still dont understand what were i going to do with the drone's FOV and that is probably my fault because i miscommunication on the post early on.
-
OK. would you mind if i ask you to point out what wrong with this conversion? assume i already know drone's FOV and the 360/cm of drone and hipfire is the same number.
-
I think you missed my point entirely. ^ is why i want to know the FOV of drone so i can use that to be my hipfire FOV instead. because both have the same 360/cm (right? i still not sure) but with different FOV. you dont have to worry about my other setting because i think i know how to use monitor distance as a scaling method for different FOV. and the reason why i use ADSMouseMultiplierUnit=0.008 it give less Max discrepancy across all scope in r6. the slider and the ingame file only read the integer for ADSMouseSensitivity[zoom number]x.
-
that 73.74 is not possible on R6S setting. and the reason why i use 82 back then( 3 years ago) because it will gone down to 73.80 after ADSing and i used to aim practice in aimbotz csgo map. i see no point of match r6 hipfire and csgo hipfire because r6s hipfire is random. also i think it does not matter what the fov i use because the monitor distance horizontal 75% (133.33333...% vertical) will compensate for that anyway . so 90 or 82 or 73.74 whatever it does not matter now but my only problem is the drone and camera FOV is not change with ingame FOV setting . SO if i know the Fov of drone and camera i will able convert from that instead. maybe you might be able you point me to how to measure the fov with logitech Lua sdk (there was post by DPI Wizard but i cant find it anymore.) thank you
-
yes i knew that since 2 year of r6s. that is also why i was playing with only 1x scope and in-game = 82 for a long time because 1x with 82 fov give the same fov as hipfire in csgo after ADSing. this is what i actually want >>>> assume that hipfire and drone use the same sensitivity then i will just gonna change my hipfire FOV (in-game FOV setting) to match the fov of drone and redo all the convertion again. also here is my set up https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=9ea2bbaebf1363de310a87565988e142

what is the FOV of drone and camera in R6S? my sensitivity felt off sometime after use the camera or drone. maybe i might try to match the ingame FOV and sens base on drone/camera FOV with 75% monitor distance horizontal from csgo sens and FOV instead of what i currently using (90) also here is my setting covert from csgo 16:9 to r6s 16:9 in-game FOV = 90 with 75% monitor distance horizontal MouseYawSensitivity=50 ADSMouseMultiplierUnit=0.008 MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=0.001360 MousePitchSensitivity=50 ADSMouseSensitivity1x=134 ADSMouseSensitivity1xHalf=159 ADSMouseSensitivity2x=165 ADSMouseSensitivity2xHalf=169 ADSMouseSensitivity3x=172 ADSMouseSensitivity4x=174 ADSMouseSensitivity5x=177 ADSMouseSensitivity12x=179

what mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_7 is for?
-
does cypher camera got the same sensitivity and fov as hipfire?
-
this should be right. if it still felt too slow change hipfire/look [monitor distance] [75%] to [100%] edit. this would be better since valorant use monitor distance 100% horizontal. so why not use it in cod too
-
cry? dude not all people can play with MDV 100% or other any number. it might even messed up their muscle memory. i do really want all FPS devs to take a look at how cod MW/WARZONE does about its in-game sensitivity. you can basically change the MDV in game. by far the worst i have seen is in R6.in R6 acog and 1x scope are done just like they have no idea what to do about the scaling for these two scope.

Splitgate: Arena Warfare is now open beta on steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/677620/Splitgate_Arena_Warfare/

fov represent for csgo is Hdeg 4:3 for R6 is Vdeg why i use fov = 82 in r6 : actual fov after ads (holo/reflex/redot and ironsight) will be reduced to 73.8 (almost identical to csgo hipfire 73.74). actually you can use any fov for r6 in range of 60 to 90. so this is the setting for you (i also use this setting but my csgo sens is 1.80) and result is .... note : it work only with X1 scope . for acog you have to recalcurate with All w/ Acog.
-
in case you didnt know where the r6 's configfile is : it should be in "\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege"
-
on R6 setting you should set it in config file and use Vdeg for FOV type . i suggest use fov 82 in game for R6 . it give the same actual fov for csgo 's hipfire and R6 's ADS (1x scope) t

CSGO to RS6 sensitivity conversion, please help.
kittawat replied to Phil0sophy's topic in Technical Discussion
using viewspeed or monitor distance to convert sens between 2 diffent fov is actually make sense tho. this clip will tell you why. it is also why most csgo pro use zoom_sens = 1.00 which is 75% monitor distance. the answer is you can not do that for awp and hipfire in cs why? for making awp and hipfire have the same 360 distance, it uses zoom_sensitivity_ratio_mouse higher than 2(MAX) -
CSGO to RS6 sensitivity conversion, please help.
kittawat replied to Phil0sophy's topic in Technical Discussion
@Phil0sophy I don't recommend you to use the same 360 distance for hipfire and 1x scope. it might mess up your muscle memory because of hipfire and 1x scope have different fov and another thing is using xfactor aiming at 1 doesn't make both red dot and acog 1:1 with hipfire. if you want the make all of them 1:1,you have wait for ubi to add another xfactor for acog only. BTW acog sens is actually too fast compare to hipfire and 1x scope by viewspeed/monitor distance. in my case, I decided to not play acog in r6s anymore after I have been played csgo more often. and I use fov = 82 in r6s because after you ads on 1x scope the fov will reduced by 10% = 73.8 .73.8 is the closest to default hipfire's fov in csgo (73.74). if you want to play r6s and have sens 1:1 for csgo 's hipfire and r6s 1x scope i recommend you try this setting use horizontal and vertical sens = 2 , fov = 82, use toggle aim if you can and use the same aspect ratio in both games -
because view speed v1 v2 and Monitor distance 0 %, 56.25%, 75%, auto% didn't actually work so you guy are working on finding the new method for calculating sens between 2 different fov, right? or I misunderstand about what you guys are doing here. here is the thing most csgo pro player still use zoom_sens 1.00 which is 75% monitor distance. so Monitor Distance 75% work for most people, right?

@predetorhd go see my guide .

sens: csgo's hipfire to r6s's ADS (only for reflex, holo, and reddot) in this guide, I will talk about how to set up both for the same use of muscle memory between both game( csgo's hipfire to r6s's ADS) and how to convert sens from csgo's hipfire to r6s's ADS after set up both - setting in this case, we don't have anything to do with csgo. but for r6s, we have to use the same aspect ratio in csgo (black bar also) and use field of view: 82 in r6s. ** there are two types of ADSing in r6s. hold aim and toggle aim. from my personal experience, if you play both games I recommend using toggle aim(you can change from hold to toggle in-game) for r6s.** Why does r6s's field of view must be 82? in r6s, after aiming down sight with x1 sight, the field of view will be reduced by 10% (82 -->73.8). 73.8 is very very close to 73.74 (csgo's field of view) and this is will bring us to the same use of muscle memory for both game after we done setting up for r6s now is time to convert sens from csgo's hipfire to r6s's ADS by using the calculator in this great website. First. I will talk about hipfire and ADS in r6s for hipfire and ADS in r6s, I decide to use the calculator with view speed V2 in this website to find the XFactorAiming and AimDownSightMouse from hipfire and ADS. You also can use monitor distance for this converting as well but I use the view speed v2(it works for me). by the way, you can use the other number between 1 - 100 for AimDownSightMouse as well because of the multiplied result of XFactorAiming and AimDownSightMouse will be the same anyway. After we got XFactorAiming and AimDownSightMouse, I will use the calculator again to find the MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit by using the value that I already have. 1.my csgo’s sens 2. AimDownSightMouse 3. XFactorAiming It’s kinda tricky but the XFactorAiming from this case is representing the MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit which is what I want to find. ***So don’t use them interchangeably*** **you can use any number between 1 - 100 for sensitivity 1 on r6s if the Multiplier that you got from this calculation is not more than 1.0.** And now, what I got is : MouseYawSensitivity=1 MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=0.104962 XFactorAiming=0.762660 AimDownSightsMouse=2 It’s time to put all value in r6s’s gamesetting file Mostly, you can find the r6s’s gamesetting in \Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six – Siege After change the value in gamesetting file and saved the file. Then you good to go *** don’t forget to use the same aspect ratio as csgo and use fov:82*** *** and don't use ACOG it might mess up your muscle memory*** have fun with both game

explain about aimdownsightMouse = 2 and xfactoraiming = 0.762660 I use calculator with viewspeed v2 mode to find out the same feeling for hipfire and ads(reflex holo reddot slight) in r6s then i got "aimdownsightMouse = 2 and xfactoraiming = 0.762660 " actually it is aimdownsightMouse = 76.2660 with default xfactoraiming (0.02000) it's kinda like the feel between hipfire and awp scope in csgo if you use zoom sens = 1.00
-
for the same use of your muscle memory, I recommend you use the same aspect ratio for both games(black bar and stretched also). first, you already got the right fov for R6 (82) I suggest trying this setting. for MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit and XFactorAiming you have to change them in GameSettings.ini. mostly, you can find it at your \Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege **** for this setting i recommend you to use toggle aim for r6 and try not to use acog(it might messed up your muscle memory) **** if you can find gamesettings.ini just change the marked value follow this image below. for aspect ratio, you can change it in game.
