multiplier is often used when a game has a multiplier in the config file usually apex would use hdeg 4;3 but the measurements are slightly off (73.74 would not be perfectly equal to 4;3 90) <- you can set the calc to in game ,then < lets say your in game fov is at 95(enter yours) check your actual fov 77.679012 <-lets say this is our vertical fov at 95 in game (take your numbers) enable auto fov and insert your actual vertical fov (due to vdeg) and now you are set and wont have to worry about it alternatively you might as well use teh horizontal value but i prefer using vdeg same result no impact auto fov matches the fov while retaining the games actual fov type
