Wizard DPI Wizard Posted Tuesday at 08:48 PM Author Wizard Posted Tuesday at 08:48 PM Here's how to set the sensitivity in the config file. X-Axis: Y-Axis:
RexVoluntas Posted Tuesday at 10:00 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:00 PM Does this work for the Xbox Game Pass version? As I don't have any folders for Avowed in this location "%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Avowed\_SharedUserSettings.sav" and can't find a file anywhere called "SharedUserSettings.sav"
Zeo Posted Tuesday at 10:10 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:10 PM (edited) Same as Rex. I don't have the game saved on the C:\ drive, and Avowed did not create a Saved Games folder on the drive it is installed on. Edited Tuesday at 10:14 PM by Zeo

The Saved Game folder is universal, so the drive you installed on should not affect it.
Zeo Posted Tuesday at 10:21 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:21 PM (edited) I hope this helps. This is the folder after the create-a-character, and changing my settings in-game to see if I could force the write after a save, as it wasn't there prior to the game's first save, so maybe it wasn't there? (Clearly it didn't create the folder.. Lol) Anyway, hope this helps. Edited Tuesday at 10:23 PM by Zeo

Wizard DPI Wizard Posted Tuesday at 10:30 PM Author Wizard Posted Tuesday at 10:30 PM Not sure if this is a prerequisite, but have you tried to start a game, change the sensitivity in-game, save then exit?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted Tuesday at 10:39 PM Author Wizard Posted Tuesday at 10:39 PM I don't have the game in Xbox, so I'm shooting in the dark here. Check if you have anything under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Alabama\Saved\ somewhere. WinGDK subfolder somewhere maybe,
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted Tuesday at 10:43 PM Author Wizard Posted Tuesday at 10:43 PM Last place I can think of is %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\, but it's a bit messy there. Here's an example from another game:%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\StrayBombayCompany.TheAnacrusisGamePreview_wshdcf4tacg46\LocalCache\Local\Anacrusis\Saved\Config\WinGDK\
Zeo Posted Tuesday at 10:55 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:55 PM (edited) Searched the entire C:\ Drive, just to be sure. You're positive the file has that _ in front, right? If so, it doesn't appear this file is on the C drive, so I'll check the drive the game was saved on to see if I can dig it up. I'll look through the folder it directs me to from Task Manager (I use this for LGHub profiles on mouse) A:\Games\XboxGames\Avowed\Content\Alabama\Binaries\WinGDK\Avowed-WinGDK-Shipping.exe is the path. I'll look for _SharedUserSettings.sav here. Yeah, can't seem to get any positive resutls searching. Tried everywhere in Local, the install folder, Packages. Edited Tuesday at 10:59 PM by Zeo
Zeo Posted Tuesday at 11:02 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:02 PM (edited) I'm confused because this site says it's in the same place for the Windows install: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Avowed Sorry, scratch that, this is for Save Data, and doesn't specify the Config location for the game on Windows. You're positive the file has that _ in front, right? Yeah: If you're comfortable with it, you can use process monitor to see where the game writes. The program itself is safe (Official Microsoft tool), but it is flagged by a few games, they just say you have to unload it (i.e. restart) if you have used it after boot. First stop capture and clear, CTRL-E, CTRL-X. Set up a filter like this: Enter the game and go into the keyboard menu where the sensitivity is. Start capture in procmon, change sensitivity and click apply, stop capturing and see if you can figure out where it writes.
Zeo Posted Tuesday at 11:23 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:23 PM Am I doing something wrong here? Lol.. Sorry, I only started using this yesterday.

For the filter, select only "process name contains avowed then include", remove all other green "include" ones.
Zeo Posted Tuesday at 11:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:38 PM (edited) I've tried a bunch of these here, and can't get anything but TCP recieve. No reads or writes. Is this due to the Windows restrictions on the folder? Similar issues trying to just read it for the Logitech G Hub software, so I need to force the path in via DB Browser. Quite confused. Wizard DPI Wizard Posted Tuesday at 11:41 PM Author Wizard Posted Tuesday at 11:41 PM Strange this looks correct.. Are you using Procmon64, and is it asking for permission on launch?
Zeo Posted Tuesday at 11:44 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:44 PM (edited) I'll be honest, I have UAC off, so it's all wide open. So it's got elevated permissions, even THAT doesn't allow me to openly access the Windows store based installs without a ton of runaround (and then eventually reverting any elevated permissions because Windows...) So, for all intent and purposes it *should* be viewable. Correct, Processmon64. Edited Tuesday at 11:49 PM by Zeo
Zeo Posted Wednesday at 12:31 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:31 AM (edited) %LOCALAPPDATA%\Alabama\Saved\Config\WinGDK\ Went looking manually. Looking through the files for the config file here. GameUserSettings.ini has content, but Input.ini doesn't. The only files I see that are over 1kb are Engine.ini, Game.ini, and GameUserSettings.ini, which none of them seem to have MouseSensitivityValue in here.. No sign of SharedUserSettings.sav, or any .sav files here. Edited Wednesday at 12:32 AM by Zeo Tydi11 and MajorCinnamonBuns 2

I might have to buy the game again on this platform to solve this if it's so different...
Tydi11 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Hi! Yes. I have played about an hour of the game with multiple save files but I have the same exact situation as Zeo. My saved games folder does not show Avowed. This is the first Xbox game-pass game that I have played where the config file is not where you originally thought it would be. Thank you so much for all of your help!
Tydi11 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Here is a screenshot of my saved games folder for reference!

I've tested the Xbox version now, and unfortunately the file is not present for that version anywhere. Xbox games tend to write to protected system folders etc, I'm guessing this is what's happening here too. Tydi11 1
