Why does changing monitor distance coefficient change sensitivity multipliers ?

So I've had the same settings in cod since like 2019 . 5.55 sense with a 1.78 coefficient . With b06 i got an ultrawide monitor.  I can't figure out the settings to change.  In the aim converter as soon as I change my old mw3 settings to 1.78 coefficient . It changes all the multipliers when I played with everything at 1.0 in game . No custom room sensitivity . What's going on I can't make sense of it ?

Can you share your conversion using the purple "Share" button?

Technically it shouldn't be necessary to change any setting, as keeping the same settings from 16:9 to 21:9 (or similar) will keep the 16:9 portion of the 21:9 monitor exactly the same as you old 16:9. This way the additional width is just for more visibility without affecting your sensitivity.

This is my conversion . It's a new monitor so the resolution is different . My old monitor is used 1.78 coefficient.  New monitor I'm told on reddit to use 2.37 coefficient . My issue is here when I change my mw3 settings to 1.78 to reflect what I had in game , it changes everything for each zoom sensitivity when I didn't have anything changed in game . I dont think this conversion is accurate and I can't figure how to get my sense right 😕

Do not read too much into what's written on reddit without knowing the implications. The coefficient given (2.37) is to keep the movement to the edge of the monitor the same (MDH 100%). Typically you do not want to keep this the same when going from 16:9 to 21:9, as it is obviously much further on a 21:9. So instead you want to keep the 16:9 portion of the 21:9 monitor the same, so it in essence is a 16:9 with more peripheral view. To preserve this you actually don't have to change anything.

What is your ADS multiplier for the different aims? The conversion you have linked do not have the setup matching the coefficient if you have them all set to 1.

Hi I think that makes sense . So instead of changing to 2.37 . Your saying just keep it at 1.78 as that is what I previously had on my 16:9 monitor ? Does the resolution change that variable? Going from 4k to ultrawide 1440 ? (3440x1440) .  And I didn't change any of my in game zoom sensitivities.  So they should all be 1 but the conversion isn't reflecting that when I changed my coefficient to 1.78

Resolution actually affects a few games, but this is not one of them. So unless you also want to account for monitor size (so the sensitivity scales based on it), you can keep the same settings. If you do want to account for it, this would be the correct setup: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=994fa89219ed1938b88c8a23a90c7fa4

Thank you so much man ! This is what I've been looking for . I'll definitely try it both ways and see which one feels better.  I don't understand this fully but I see where your going with it
