Luuap Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 For the config file, I have %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pal\Saved\Config\Windows\Input.ini there's no Windows folder after that (GamePass version). I did have a WinGDK folder after config in that above directory, with Input.ini, but it was a blank document. I threw your note into that file, but is there a different directory I should be looking for with the GamePass version? Any idea?

I'm downloading the Gamepass version now just to verify.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 21, 2024 Author Wizard Posted January 21, 2024 Config File sensitivity is added! Luuap 1
Rukishou Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 (edited) While you're at it with the hex editing, you can also set the FOV higher than 90, so an option to see what sensitivity you'd want at higher FOVs would be great Edit: Oh, never mind, it already works. Thought the calculator would cap at 90 Edited January 21, 2024 by Rukishou
Journalist Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 For the Xbox version, save files are located in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\PocketpairInc.Palworld_ad4psfrxyesvt\SystemAppData\wgs and cannot be edited directly. An additional tool is available: https://github.com/Fr33dan/GPSaveConverter

Thought the calculator would cap at 90 It will nag about the FOV being out of range, so I've updated the FOV type to multiplier as it is in the config file, with instructions and a proper range. sinshiva Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 hey Mr @DPI Wizard maybe i'm blind, but if i calculate a sensitivity based on a "90" fov as set in the field; what is the value in hex? i'd have tried to calculate this myself, but i'm uncertain whether this should be based on the value i set or the 'actual' hfov, for example

This is a decimal value, so you have to use a hex editor like hxd where you can select the hex value and on the right side directly enter a decimal value.
sinshiva Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 Ah, i'd do that, but that option is greyed out for me so i'm not getting a result; An aside, Notepad++ has available plugins to install to view files in hex; And then used 'Plugins > Hex-Editor > View in Hex' for anybody not looking for a dedicated tool. Googled to see if this had this functionality just for this lol
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 26, 2024 Author Wizard Posted January 26, 2024 You might be looking at the wrong field, it's not greyed out:
sinshiva Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 (edited) I see, so if i wanted to set a value of 90 in the calc, does that just mean ensuring to set fov to hdeg res, setting a distance&dpi and then just going up directly from the miniumum in-game of 70 (0000a0c0) to 90 (0000A0D4) ? Erick Avila Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 Are aim and mouse sensitivity the same? In HxD it only changes one of the sensitivities.

No, there are two different variables, but you have to change them in-game for them to appear in the config file.
