chocks78 Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 (edited) Hello, I just subscribed to the website to try and figure this out and I apologize if it's been answered before, if you could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Basically my issue is that I play battlefield a lot, but my 9yo son likes fortnite. Whenever I play with him it messes with my aim because fortnite limits fov to 80 (96.86... actual horizontal), but I play battlefield at 89 vertical (133.85.... actual horizontal). This is with 21:9, 3440x1440 resolution. The app gives me the hipfire sens in fortnite to match the cm/36o in battlefield, but obviously this feels very squirrelly because of the extra zoom in fortnite. How can I figure out how to match the hipfire sensitivity between these two games? In other words if I was to use a scope in battlefield with 96.86 actual fov (coefficient 0% and USA on), I'd need the same cm/360 in fortnite hipfire. Is there a way to do this? https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=2c6b3ed25215f45e7ce299019396c1ce Edited December 5, 2023 by chocks78
chocks78 Posted December 5, 2023 Author Posted December 5, 2023 Ok, I think I figured it out. Feel kind of silly because all I had to do was change one setting on the calculator and it gave me a crazy low sensitivity for fortnite, which seems to work. I now have a cm/360 of 64 in fortnite, but once I tried it I was hitting shots. here is the share if anyones interested. https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=f7ea6054bcdf7eac813f834ecde1b4b2 I also noticed that doing this matched my pixels/count. Does this mean that matching pixels/count is what makes the mouse 'feel' the same between games or am I grossly simplifying things?

That's a personal preference, but yes, matching the pixels/count makes the tracking speed exactly the same regardless of FOV. For some it might make flicking high power scopes feel too slow though. chocks78 1
