randomguy7 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Hi! I've been having trouble with this. On this website: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Field_of_View viewer distance = (screenwidth)/(2*tan(FOV/2)) it says this formula. How do I solve for FOV? Can somebody convert the formula to: FOV=? I'd greatly appreciate it!
Wizard Solution DPI Wizard Posted June 13, 2022 Wizard Solution Posted June 13, 2022 FOV=2*(cot^(-1)*((2*viewer distance)/screenwidth))

randomguy7 Posted June 13, 2022 Author Posted June 13, 2022 so it's the inverse cotangent of (2*viewer distance)/screenwidth) times two DPI Wizard 1
