Sencha Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 For some reason the fields don't quite match up in the config file vs what is shown in the converter. For example, the converter claims there is an option in the config for a 6x scope, but the actual config file doesn't have a 6x option, only 16. There are a few others like this. Am I missing something?

The Cycle and Frontier share config file location, so the best way to go about it is to move all your old "The Cycle" files to a new folder, and let the new launcher create all the needed files. What I did is deleted the folder and ran the game which redownloaded the files I needed and that seemed to fix the issue. Thank you for the help and I apologize if this isn't the right place to post this.
MoistGeorgeBush Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Everything from the calculator seems to match up, but I'm feeling a good bit of deceleration while sprinting, any way to disable this?
PIECEofTOAST Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 There seem to be several settings that are changed or missing with the current CBT. For example m_scopedSensitivity exists in the config but not in the calculator, idk what it does. Also there are new settings like "m_sixteenTimesScopeSensitivity" and "m_onePointFiveTimesScopeSensitivity", not sure if those actually exist in game or not or if it's just an engine thing.
chad3 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 m_scopedSensitivity is missing from the calculator but it is in the config file of the game schubi 1

These are from the old version of the game, and not in use anymore. As instructed above, the best way to get clean fine is to just delete it and let the game re-create it. 9 hours ago, chad3 said: m_scopedSensitivity is missing from the calculator but it is in the config file of the game m_scopedSensitivity is only used as a global sensitivity for all scopes if m_usePerScopeSensitivity is set to false. So you can ignore it as you are setting each scope individually and this value will not be used.

Do you have "Field of View Movement Changes" on or off (under game settings)?

KODa Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Is this game even alive? The steam page looks really barren. Maybe I'm looking at a wrong one?

I have it off, but have tried with it both on/off. It feels even more inconsistent with the setting turned on. I also tried turning the FOV based sensitivity scaling to off, but the issue seemed to persist (and it throws off the calculator). In all cases there seems to be some type of aim deceleration or aim slowdown while sprinting. It reminds me of the Sprint Sensitivity Reduction setting in Risk of Rain 2. During the first few years of early access in Risk of Rain 2 there was something you had to modify in the config to get rid of aim slowdown while sprinting. Now there is an in game setting in Risk of Rain 2 called "Sprint Sensitivity Reduction" that completely eliminates the issue. Here is a thread about it from a few years ago https://steamcommunity.com/app/632360/discussions/0/1768133742959740962/

AshenOne Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Is anyone else finding that something just feels off in this game? Despite very small discrepancy I am noticing that my flicks are way off (so not consistent with my muscle memory). I tried changing my polling rate to 500 as unreal engine games sometimes have negative acceleration issues. Unfortunately this did not help. All of my settings are per the instructions on the calculator "Disable acceleration by unchecking Mouse Smoothing. Check these options for the scope calculations to be correct: FOV based sensitivity scaling = true Enable per scope sensitivity = true" Any chance something is up?

I'm not sure if you can test this but when I was testing in the beta I had this strange feeling like my sens was changing when I was sprinting.
