GreekBoy Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 I'm new to this site, so please bear with me. I used to play Apex Legends with 1.8 Sens at 800 DPI with the In-game FOV slider set to 90. I want to convert this sens to Battlefront 2, but for that game a FOV of 90 feels weird, so I want to change it to 70. What do I have to type in to find out the same sens from Apex to BF2, but with an FOV of 70? Thank you in advance.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted March 13, 2022 Wizard Posted March 13, 2022 These games do not use the same FOV Type. Apex Legends uses a multiplier in-game, and Battlefront 2 uses a multiplier in the config file and vertical degrees in-game. You need to make sure the Actual HFOV/VFOV is the same in the output. In your case if you set the sensitivity in-game in both games it would be like this: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=bc58356809e1b8b97b04bdf03b094529 GreekBoy 1
GreekBoy Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 Alright, thanks for your help. So, if I understood the screenshot right, that mean 90 FOV in Apex = 73 FOV in BF2. So if my goal is to keep the sensitivity the same, but change the FOV to 70 in BF2, I can replace the 73 with 70 and the sensitivity will change accordingly, right? Fair enough, but I still don't understand something. How am I supposed to know which FOV type fits to which game? I know the site automatically picks the right FOV type for each game: If I select Apex from the list it automatically picks "Multiplier" and if I select BF2 it also picks "Multiplier". However, in your picture you picked "Vdeg" for BF2. I also noticed I can't select "Multiplier" for BF2. How am I supposed to which FOV type is the right one? Sorry for sounding stupid. Thanks again.

I attached a screenshot to show you the tab to choose in game or config file in the calculator. Also the calculator tells you which fov type the game is using, you don't need to set it yourself. How am I supposed to which FOV type is the right one? Multipliers are only available for games that use them. What it means is that the FOV value is not in degrees or radians, and the multiplier is unique to the specific game. GreekBoy 1
