Witherik Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Hello, I'm trying to match my hipfire and ADS sensitivity in games (Apex rn). As far as I've read here, Apex matches your ADDS sensitivity using monitor distance set at 0%, which results in the best tracking experience. No I see this other option, called viewspeed, which as far as I understand is also for matching ADS, how does it work and how is it different from MDH 0%? P.S. I don't really understand how matching monitor at 0% works. I understand how it works for any other percentage, ex. MDH 15% on 1080p would be matching moving the mouse left/right 144 pixels. How can you match moving 0 pixels, would be cool if someone would explain this part to me too. Thanks in advance

See the instructions for a brief explanation of Viewspeed. If you want to get really technical, see this and this. 4 minutes ago, Witherik said: P.S. This results in the sensitivity being identical in terms of speed and not distance.
Witherik Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 Thanks for the quick reply ^^ I roughly understand the value of viewspeed right now and what MDH 0% does. 18 minutes ago, DPI Wizard said: technical, see this However, I am lost what it's purpose is, because in this post, vieswpeed is used to make 3D movement feel 2D? What would it's purpose be, when switching from hipfire to ADS, what is being matched? Maybe I've haven't read into this enough, perhaps I'm missing something obvious and you could sum it up form me? If that's not the case, just say so, I'll try to figure this out.

So when you react to something on the screen your movement to aim at it will best match the equivalent movement to move a cursor the same distance.
