bread94 Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 So according to the calculator, to have the windows sens I want at the DPI I want, I need to set WPS to 7 (in between 4 and 5) but you can't select a value in between the numbers. Is there soemthing I'm missing? (I hope)
Wizard Solution DPI Wizard Posted December 30, 2020 Wizard Solution Posted December 30, 2020 Yeah, you need to set the value in the registry: On 12/13/2019 at 4:49 PM, DPI Wizard said: WPSWPS is an abbreviation for Windows Pointer Speed. This is the mouse sensitivity setting in Windows, and can be configured two places: In Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse -> Pointer Options -> Motion -> Select a pointer speed. This slider has 11 steps (1-11), where the default is 6. These values are noted in parenthesis, where 6/11 is the default value. In regedit under \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse\MouseSensitivity. This method supports values from 1 to 20 A reboot is required to take effect. bread94 1
bread94 Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 and does using a WPS other than 6/11 cause an increase in latency, even if minute?

Using a higher value will make the pointer skip pixels, using a lower value makes very small and slow movements not register. But these are on the extreme ends, using values around the middle shouldn't affect the experience too much.
bread94 Posted December 31, 2020 Author Posted December 31, 2020 I think I'm going to keep my WPS at 6/11 then as I'm a stickler for everything working perfectly, thank you
Merinda18 Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 Just update your windows,then u can change between 1 to 20 without registry bread94 1

I've just realised, this wont affect the way the mouse works in games not affected by WPS, right? Only desktop? 5 hours ago, Merinda18 said: Just update your windows, then u can change between 1 to 20 without registry You goddamn genius, thank you ^^
