Nimble Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Hey there, I'm trying to match all my sensitivity settings across the board, now even when it comes to my mouse pointer out of game. So I checked to what my current Valorant settings (.5, 800 DPI) would tell my to set my DPI at so the Windows cursor would match, and it says 500 DPI, cool. So then to correct my Valorant sense I plugged in my new 500 DPI and it told me to put Valorant at .804 and it feels about right... However, now I'm trying to match that sensitivity to Final Fantasy 14 online, which used to be at .02778 when my mouse was at 800 DPI. But now when I convert from Windows @ 500 DPI it's saying my final fantasy sense should be 0.016456 which is lower than it used to be when my DPI was 800. Instead I tried putting the convert from as my new Valorant settings .804 500 DPI, and it says my final Fantasy sense should be 0.146000 which looks more correct as the number should increase when I lower my DPI... But I just don't get what's going on, shouldn't they all convert from and to the same thing now? Windows 500 DPI > Valorant .804 500 DPI Valorant .804 500 DPI > Final Fantasy 0.146000 500 DPI Final Fantasy 0.146000 500 DPI > Windows 500 DPI (what I would think it should be) Because this is what the tool actually reads: Windows 500 DPI > Valorant .804 500 DPI Valorant .804 500 DPI > Final Fantasy 0.146000 500 DPI Final Fantasy 0.146000 500 DPI > Windows 850 DPI If I go from Windows to Valorant to Final Fantasy back to Windows, shouldn't I arrive back at 500 DPI? Isn't the whole point that things would match? What am I missing?

Isn't the whole point that things would match? What am I missing? the crux in this specific case is the different fov (an you trying to match 360 without considering the difference in fov) https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=57e1b3d9c6597825031a1f894fd086e0 https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=5398d2bdf4c381fa6110db9f4508f592 as you might be able to spot there is a noticeable fov difference if you want to match from game to game while retaining similar 360 distance even with a significant change in fov your best option is using focal length https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=cc4f7a5889d60a1238ce497dd591618c it costs you a significant amountof screensize *the links are based on my conversions if you want to use them in your case id suggest changing the dpi, resolution/screensize to match your actual values if you want help based on your settings id highly suggest using the share option since that can save everyone involved plenty of time /effort Edited December 13, 2020 by fortunate reee
