Shinkuu Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 I can't find the settings.cfg location for apex on the steam version, where would it be located? Is there any other way of getting a more accurate sensitivity?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 It should be in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local\
Shinkuu Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Yeah, that doesn't exist for me on the Steam version for some reason, back when I played on Origin it was there though. Any way of fixing it?

Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Just checked the Steam version now, and it's the same file as Origin here.
Shinkuu Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Ahh, any idea why I can't find it? I've looked everywhere and still haven't found a trace of it
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Does the %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local\ folder exist?
Shinkuu Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 No, it definitely used to however. I tried copying my friend's directory to mine and modifying the settings.cfg from there but with no luck either
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Check if you have two folders named "Saved Games" under %USERPROFILE%, that can happen sometimes if you link a folder. If that's not the case I have no idea what's going on.
Shinkuu Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 After searching my entire computer i found a working .cfg file for apex that affects the game in another drive for some reason and it works. One more thing, my FOV on Valorant is 103, and I'm wondering if cl_fovscale is meant to work on a specific fov in apex to equal that of valorant? Am I meant to set the fov to 103 in the ingame settings and then change fovscale or should i set the ingame fov to something else?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Good you found it! Just set cl_fovScale "1.237600" to match Valorant, don't touch it in-game.
Shinkuu Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Are you sure that's the right number? The calculator spat out a different one for me
Wizard Solution DPI Wizard Posted November 15, 2020 Wizard Solution Posted November 15, 2020 2 minutes ago, Shinkuu said: Are you sure that's the right number? The calculator spat out a different one for me That's the default FOV, not the one that matches Valorant Unless you have turned on Auto FOV in the top and set it to your desired FOV, the default value will always be loaded when you select a game. Shinkuu Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Ahh I thought it would match FOVs from the input game to the output game automatically, so I was meant to turn on that setting. Looks like I was using it wrong the entire time, thanks for clearing that up and for all your help too!
