Swapping DPI between desktop and games.

Is there a disadvantage to swapping my mouse DPI between games and my desktop? I prefer a higher DPI for my desktop as it makes using it much more comfortable, but I prefer a lower DPI for gaming. I just don't want using a higher DPI on my desktop to mess with my in game aim.

The only disadvantage is that your cursor speed in the game (when using menus or managing inventory in the game etc) will be different than what you're used to on the desktop.

might as well raise/lower  your pointer speed
