DPI Analyzer G502 (Proteus Core)

Hey,

I was just testing the DPI Analyzer with my old G502 which I thought has one of the best sensors on the market ( PMW3366 ).
However I noticed that there was always a deviation of about +30%.
I paid attention that I followed the instructions precisely:

-The browser is not zoomed in.
-The deviation was pretty much the same at any selected DPI setting.
-Mouse acceleration is disabled and the windows pointer speed is at the default value of 6.

Is the PMW3366 really that bad of a sensor? I know that it is really precise (nearly no hardware acceleration) but I didnt know that it was that inaccurate...?

Anyone else experiencing this with their old Logitech mouse or am I missing something?

Its really disturbing me that the deviation is that high. If I ever got a new mouse, my aim would be completely messed up if this was true.

thanks for any help

my xm1 works as it should however a small deviation is pretty usual even with high end sensors /mice  dpi isn't relevant just match (as long as the deviation is consistent there wont be issues )

on my g305 having a slightly different dpi was fairly average

id consider this a tool that helps you match your setup

there shouldn't really be any effect on your gameplay

Are you sure you are measuring correctly, and not including the width of the mouse somehow? Like starting at 0 cm at the right edge of the mouse and moving it to X cm to the left side of the mouse or something?

If it truly is 30% off you can easily fix this when you get a new mouse by calculating sensitivity with the old and the new DPI values.

Yes, I always used the left side of my mouse in relation to the left side of my mouse pad.

I'm just bothered by the fact that this almost "legendary" sensor is that inaccurate and that I'll have to ajust the sensitivity in every game once I'll switch to another mouse.

I hope there are any other old G502 users out there who could test this too.
