A lot of Unreal Engine 4 games from a specific time period had the Y sensitivity default to 70% of the X sensitivity.

Some were the same and changed to 70% while other were 70% and changed to the same at some point. This is not a new change for ARK, but it's correct as of now.

I'm having a similar issue 2021... leftright feels a lot faster than up down.

vertical feels similar when it's set to something like this:

0.704808

Just checked the game now, and the calculations are correct.

0.7 is extremely fast compared to your horizontal sensitivity, are you sure about that?

LookLeftRightSensitivity=0.615612

Sorry, my mistake. The 0.615612 here comes from 900 dpi which is my desktop. had this issue months ago and didn't end up playing it much.

This setting seems relatively similar for X and Y to me. At least closer than the `0.085 x 0.12` or `0.615612 x 0.879445` suggested.
I don't know what to say because your calculator's never wrong for me elsewhere.

I just double checked with your exact settings, and the calculations are correct. The basis for the difference is a known vertical offset of 70% that a lot of Unreal Engine 4 games uses. Not sure why you would feel any difference, it might be down to how the game runs or renders.

I found the problem in Ark, when sensitivity is less than 0.2 it will reset it to at least 0.2 when applying other settings in options. This may have been my problem. (changing a keyboard bind reset the sense in the config file)

LookLeftRightSensitivity=0.200000
LookUpDownSensitivity=0.200000
