makojunki Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 (edited) Hi I was wondering about the Monitor Distance setting. If i am playing BF4, for example, on a 16:9 monitor at 1920x1080 native, then the correct USA / Monitor Distance setting is 177% (16/9 = 1.77). If i were to change to a 4:3 monitor at 1280x960 and play native, then my correct USA / Monitor Distance would be 133% (4/3 = 1.33). Please could you tell me how the USA / Monitor Distance should be adjusted if, for example, I played 4:3 (black bars or stretched) on a 16:9 monitor. Should I use 133% USA / Monitor Distance or 177% USA / Monitor Distance. Basically, what i'm keen to understand is does the USA / Monitor Distance link to the monitor aspect ratio (regardless of resolution) or is it linked to the actual resolution aspect ratio (independant of the physical monitor aspect ratio). Thanks, Mako Edited July 19, 2020 by makojunki

Thanks, Mako it 1.7777777......7 ideally you should round up in that specific case so 178% this is where U.S.A originated from ^ post a and b explain this too well for me to slaughter it here, one of my fav forum posts ever while usa might be related to aspect ratio many players preferred 133% over 178% when it was first introduced and realistically the goal of the mechanic is to make you feel comfortable trying out 100/133/178 mdv and obviously 0% shouldn't harm you just stick with whatever floats your boat Edited July 19, 2020 by fortunate reee
