Atraydeez Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 Could someone help me find my eDPI? I don't use the default .022 m_yaw/pitch values that many other games use. I can't find an eDPI calculator that supports yaw/pitch either. I don't know what the formula would be to figure this out either. Thanks for any help/insight. Sensitivity: 2.31 m_yaw/pitch: .0138 DPI: 2850
TheNoobPolice Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 Forget about eDPI. It doesn't mean anything. It's just used by counter strike players to compare their in game sens to each other - but It ignores the impact of FOV and doesn't apply to any game engine that uses a yaw multiplier that scales non-linearly. Atraydeez Posted May 13, 2020 Author Posted May 13, 2020 Thanks. I was under the impression that if I found my eDPI I could easily translate my Quake sensitivity to other games like Apex Legends or Warzone. I was wrong, oh well.
TheNoobPolice Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 (edited) Did you not check here? https://funender.com/quake/mouse/index.html#about You can at least arrive at the 360 sensitivity value for your settings at your usual FOV. You could then use the calculator here to convert to any game by any method. Edited May 13, 2020 by TheNoobPolice Atraydeez 1
Atraydeez Posted May 13, 2020 Author Posted May 13, 2020 Thanks, I've been to that website long ago but didn't realize it had a yaw/pitch field. I appreciate it. TheNoobPolice 1
