Is there a way to track mouse movement speed?

I would like to find out how fast I am moving my mouse, be it an on screen display showing the rate of input (or whatever the right terminology is) or a table of saved data. I want to use this to find out my mouse's acceleration and maximum speed while aiming to see if I can find the best sensitivity for me (such as moving at the average maximum speed at sensitivity X while perfectly tracking a moving target). Is there a software that does this?
