AhmedHindy Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Is the sensitivity in this game similar to csgo? What games/ Engines have the same sens values?
nintendofan964 Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 i'm confused because when I try to put in my sensitivity from apex into this which is 2.4 my sens in doom becomes so slow i can't move the screen i'm i doing something wrong?

PressingForward Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 (edited) Just to make sure, you are not typing in "0.022" as your sensitivity, right? Because that's yaw and pitch, not sensitivity -- your DOOM Eternal sens should be the same number as your Apex sens, meaning 2.4. but the calculator as posted by you couldn’t calculate that number since you didn’t type in the DPI for apex. Also, if the sens still feels off, make sure that you are using the same/similar FoVs between the two games. Edited April 16, 2020 by PressingForward
Watsyurdeal Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 So, after the recent update my settings feel...off? I am trying to get things back to default for everything related to sens, and go from there. Anyone know the default values? I'm trying to keep things relative to Overwatch, 500 dpi, in game sens of 6.20. The FOV is 103

sc0zz Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 (edited) Hi, so is m_yaw 0.022 the same as Mouse Horizontal Sensitivity 40? I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to change that 40 to something else in game. If I enter m_yaw 0.022 and m_pitch 0.022 into the console along with my sensitivity, only my sensitivity changes. The Mouse Horizontal Sensitivity and Mouse Vertical Sensitivity stay at the default 40. Edited June 28, 2020 by sc0zz typo
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted June 28, 2020 Author Wizard Posted June 28, 2020 In most cases leaving them at 40 and just adjusting the Mouse Sensitivity Scaling is enough.

Yea but in the calc - if you leave it at game settings, the discrepancy is a bit much - 2.6% - and the sens would be 1.9 for me - and that's where it says Mouse Horizontal Sensitivity 40. If I set it to console, the discrepancy is 0% and sens is 1.85 for me but that's where it shows the (0.022) yaw/pitch settings instead of Horizontal/Vertical (40). So 40 is same as 0.022 then? and it's simply that the sens can only do two decimal places in console?

somemadcaaant Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 (edited) @DPI Wizard Don't forget to disable m_smooth "1" to 0 in the DOOMEternalConfig.cfg config as it's on by default, also add +set m_smoothing 0 to Steam Launch options to be sure, smoothing it's annoying as all hell... It does however add a small lag and can make it feel terrible. somemadcaaant 1

n19htmare Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 as others have said there is an issue with latests version. using the values from the calc are way off and lower sense than stated (actaul mouse movment is greater than stated distance / 360).

Just checked it now, and it's still the same here. What launcher do you have the game in, and can you verify that the m_yaw, m_pitch and m_sensitivity are correct in the console?

May I make a small suggestion when I slect hipfire this comes up: When I select all, this comes up Maybe add the m_yaw and _pitch to the hipfire stats otherwise folks (like myself) may not know what to change . Thanks again for the great work!

Thanks again for the great work! There are separate Hipfire Pitch and Hipfire Yaw calculations which have this. This is done to make it as accurate as possible when using the limited in-game sensitivity, but it should say in the game notes that the Hipfire calculation assumes default yaw and pitch values, I'll fix that! n19htmare 1
