Ivanovich Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 (edited) Hi guys, usually I play at low sensi, I got 44cm of mousepad and I almost make 360º full mouse-pad I'd say I can make 3 parts of 360º from point to point 44cm. I thing it suits me best little bit high sensi because I can make microadjustments with my fingers but I don't know yet after so many years, I can play good with low or with a little bit higher. I'm asking you for your recommendations guys, Drimzi told me this: And I would really like to start playing with a sensi slightly higher whatever, MY QUESTION IS. Should I start playing all the games from WINDOWS DESKTOP sensitivity? I'd set it like this if it's not wrong, and always VIEWSPEED WITH? nothing about 360º distance right? Thanks guys, waiting for your answer to start playing like if I was learning from the beginning and start making muscle memory again, I just want to play at same sensitivity in all the games. mcdoncod Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Been playing around with windows as an input and converting using View speed, in this case, does FOV even need to be factored from game to game?? ie if I play a game that is usually 95 fov, should I try and change other games like OW to 95 fov as well if the sense for both games is based on my windows input speed?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted May 13, 2017 Wizard Posted May 13, 2017 FOV is a part of the calculation so it's important that the configured FOV is used, but you do not need to match FOV's between games to get the same Viewspeed sensitivity. But the closer the FOV's are, the more similar the sensitivity will be. This is obviously not possible for ADS and scopes, and using the same FOV is not possible on all games. mcdoncod and Ivanovich 2

mcdoncod Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 (edited) So in most cases it seems as if unless you feel it necessary, or have the means to match FOVs it really won't matter too much?? Does that also mean that the movement will mostly be the same?? Seems like the discrepancy is in the highest I've seen 2.5%. Why is it that Viewspeed affects the movement variables so much ie 45, 90, 180, but doesn't affect the aim consistency outside of those variables. Edit: thanks so much for the replies btw Edited May 13, 2017 by mcdoncod
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted May 13, 2017 Wizard Posted May 13, 2017 Viewspeed (and Monitor Distance) matches what you see on the screen, so the further outside the field of view you get, the more the movement will differ. The discrepancies in the calculator output is only due to the games inability to accurately match the sensitivity. For instance with Overwatch, the 0% discrepancy sensitivity might be something like 7.23454, but since the game only supports two decimals, the output will show you a sensitivity of 7.23 with a discrepancy of 0.0605% (0.0015 inches). Usually this number is very small and insignificant, but it's worth paying attention to it if it's several percent. The way to fix it is usually by adjusting the DPI of your mouse if it supports it (i.e. try changing the DPI of the output game until it's perfect). mcdoncod and Ivanovich 2
