1080P to 1440P question

I thought this was interesting and wasn't expected.  Can anyone explain why going from 1080P to 1440P with same FOV and matching monitor distance horizontal 0% would result in a such a different 360 distance?  Monitor distance vertical matches my expectation.  I don't get why they would be different.

This is not an issue with going from 1080p to 1440p, but going from 16:9 to 21:9.

When you match using MDV 0% the sensitivity will be the same since the vertical FOV is the same on both monitors.

However when you use MDH 0% the sensitivity will be different because your horizontal FOV is much wider.

Thanks for the replies, MDH 0% was doing something different than I thought!  Now I know to use MDV 0%.  For reference, I wouldn't expect MDH 0% to have this behavior (I would expect MDH >0% to do this though...)

So which one should i chose? MDH0% or mdv0%?      i play csgo with 4:3(1440x1080)  and play call of duty with 16:9(1920)
