Not being able to find the right sensitivity for any game.

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So I have been trying for a good couple of years now to get accurate in fps games on pc mainly call of duty. But it feels like nothing has changed so I am asking here of all the possible problems/settings that can throw aim of I know there can be alot and people have said my aim is fine but to me I would of improved from like 2-3 years ago. Also when it has been that long and nothing changes to me something is of.

Any help is appreciated! :D

play kovaaks or any aimbooster games ,use 0% mdh ,anything instead of 0% will not help you to improve via kovaaks or any other aim trainer game

Sorry to be a pain but what is mdh

cod using 133% MDV (Monitor distance vertical) or 75% MDH(Monitor distance horizontal)

so for first time 0% will feel slow

cod has been using 0% for ages  75% would be csgo or older battlefield  100% would be newer battlefield although just like cod you can use everything you want these days due to the settings being open

0% is (CoD and Titanfall/apex legends)

also psa method is a somewhat nice starting point ( going from overwatch starting in 180 degree= half a mousepad )

this postfrom skidushe is pretty much the universal starter guide when it comes to sensetivity give it a read

talking about 0% monitor distance (vertical /horizontal doesn't matter with that one as long as the games aspect ratio stays the same) is the best possible way to match sens from one game to another, as of now .

previously uniform soldier aim( 75%/100% aka 133%/178%) vertical  from the battlefield series was considered the go to  but these can be lackluster when compared to 0% hence the move

I have read the monitor distance part and % for it and what I took away from it from my understanding is that we use the monitor % that you guys told me about on games that have different  fov so we can get our sensitivities better on the said 2 games with diffrent sensitivities because our monitors wont change.?

fov pretty much doesnt matter with 0% , however i still like to match the hipfire fov (mostly personal preference)

this is pretty much my current setupto keep the 360 distance on hipfire aligned for easier movement and mainly use the 0% advantages on weapon sights since those rarely ever match  when it comes to fov  one games 1x scopes reduce fov by 10% others by 12%

well on call of duty I like have the 120 FOV.  But honestly dont get why it would not matter on 0% only?

0% matches the monitor distance at your crosshair

75% would match at 1 specific point somewhere between the middle and outer edge of your monitor(outer edge 4;3)

100%would match at 1 specific point on the outer edge of a 16:9 screen

since matches at the crosshair the feel isn't really impacted by the fov changes

this is somewhat simplified there is maths involved

This is because you literally move your crosshair in the game that you are playing right? and that is the reason that the first person suggested that I do this earlier in an aim trainer?

0% will help your brain "build up a library" of necessary movements needed to flick certain distances in certain directions under different zoom conditions .

so using 0% to match with kovaks or other aimboosters helps .

if you are looking for a sense to begin  with i often recommend starting with a game like overwatch and doing the psa method

using this calculator

https://blog.jscalc.io/psa-method-calculator/

then matching that via 0% to your desired game

with your desired fov (i generally prefer a fov of 90 or a bit less ,but that is preference)

*i like recommending overwatch for that because it doesn't allow for config file modding and is very limited when it comes to inputs so going from overwatch and other rather limited games to other games with more input settings freedom is helpfull in thee longrun since the odds of running into large discrepancies is not as high

*destiny works somewhat well too and is f2p on steam

I have aim hero personally but how do you get6 this 0% in the desired game and aim trainer?

you set your conversion setup to vert / hor 0% then select the  game 1 (source) and game 2 (the game you want the same feel in)

so once you find a setting you like in cod you'd set cod as game 1 and convert it to game 2 (aim hero ) then you should be able to just train in aim hero /go pack to game 1 without feeling a difference

Oh ok thank you alot the person in the video said to do 3 different types of aims as well fingers, wrist and arm should I do that as well or is it not necessary to do it in the aim trainer?

grip largely depends on your mouse / grip type (fingertip, palm , hybrid those don't really impact aim that much  mostly preference  )

when it comes to wrist arm aiming ideally both should feel good for you since wrist helps with micro adjustments whilst arm helps with larger flicks

Ok thank you for all the help! :D So just to get this right though.

Waatch the youtube video on the PSA method and use the PSA calculator to find my sensitivity from the PSA method then convert my PSA sensitivity to the aim trainer from this sites calculator and then train in the aim trainer? :D

the whole concept of lowsense / high sense player is flawed

if you use what feels right for you (if that happens to be low sense  go for it ) it wont harm

that 75%/100% coefficient was a thing back around battlefield 4

ah i thought u talk about bf3 or bf2142.  Its not flawed its just preference. But as a low sens player 70cm/360°  0% MDH is just stupid.

players of your caliber are rare these days Respect

used to be a 50cm guy but moved back down to 35cm due to 6siege

my comment wasn't ment to call out low sense as being flawed just more directed towards the concept of calling one thing high and the other sense low since its somewhat fluid (but yeah in your case i can agree that is low )
