noaimBoii Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I am trying to wrap my head around what this function does for Battlefield. Would turning the feature on be equivalent to changing each of my scoped sensitivities to the match my hipfire sensitivity as if I am using the viewspeed conversion from this website? Also when I convert my scoped sensitivity from Battlefield to Overwatch, I have to enter the USA coefficient, even if I am not using it. Does this mean the calculator assumes I should be using it? Thank you.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted April 10, 2017 Wizard Posted April 10, 2017 If you leave everything at default with USA, it is the same as matching Monitor Distance 75%. It's close to Viewspeed, but Viewspeed is dynamic (depending on FOV), and is usually between 60% and 70% Monitor Distance. And yes, the calculator assumes you are using USA when you select a scope.
jabbothehut Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Doesnt viewspeed just outclass match screen distance in every scenario then if you are trying to achieve a 1:1 sens "feel" across all fov's then? Would you only use screen match distance if you are used to other games that use the matching distance for their scopes and are trying to convert this across to another game?
Etti Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Would it be possible to disable "UniformSoldierAiming" and convert all the different If you leave everything at default with USA, it is the same as matching Monitor Distance 75%. Is USA even needed when using Viewspeed ? Wouldn't it be more accurate to just convert "Sensivity 1" to all the different "SoldierZoomSensitivity" ratios ?

If you don't use USA, you don't benefit from the proceedural change of sensitivity as you ADS, rather it dumps you right the way down to ADS sensitivity as soon as you press the ADS button but before you have completely zoomed in, so as you are turning to target (espeically with slower zoom sniper scopes) there would be a half second or so where the sensitivity is completely out of whack, even if you matched the viewspeed for each scope individually. Basically, for anyone interested in proper mouse sens for BF, they should always be using USA. It's just a better method for calculating turn-rate and FOV changes in a game, rather than using multiplers.
