Help with conversion to rainbow six siege needed

You've all heard the story, I love my aim, I'm a god, but I can't get it right in a specific game. This is my problem. In all other games the calculator works perfectly, but nothing I do with siege feels good.

Getting hipfire down is easy, that feels great, but ubisoft decided that they wouldnt allow you to properly scale your sensitivity with you fov, and instead allow you to just change the multiplier for your ADS sensitivity. Not only does this mean that I have to chose between using zoom scopes or non zoom scopes exclusively because theyll always have the same 360 sensitivity despite being different FOV levels just due to how the game is programmed, but I cant seem to find any way to get a 1:1 sensitivity conversion for my hipfire sens from csgo, and the non zoom ADS for siege. My problem comes from the fact that the non zoom scopes actually do zoom a tiny little bit to simulate your head going slightly forward or something, so if my sensitivity between hipfire and ADS is 1:1 for a 360, I'll overshoot when I'm ADS due to this difference in FOV. I like to aim with screen space and I was wondering, does the calculator take into account this slight zoom when ADS on non zoom weapons? Because my ADS sensitivity never feels right and I think this may be part of the problem.

on csgo I use 1.6 in game, 400 DPI, both games I use 90 fov and 1440*1080 stretched res, if you need any more info I can provide, thanks for your help in advance!

This is not true, every aim has their own unique scaling, not related to the same 360 distance.

The calculator does take this into account. The ADS FOV is actually 0.9X that of hipfire. So since the FOV is different you have to make a choice between matching 360 distance or monitor distance X%.

  • If it's more important for you to track moving targets while ADS'ing, use MDH 0%.
  • If you prefer to flick to a target you see pop up, use MDH X%, where X is where on the monitor you most often flick to (100% being the edge, 0% the center of the monitor).
  • If you navigate around doors and corners while in ADS, 360 distance is probably the best.

To sum up, as soon as the FOV is different, you can only match one aspect of the sensitivity, everything else will be different. With a FOV difference of only 10% none of the differences will be huge though, but the concept still applies.

thanks for the reply! interesting that you say the sensitivities are different for the scopes because it really doesnt feel that way, what are the differences specifically then if you dont mind me asking because I was certain it felt like they werent different at all.

if you want to use 360 ads /acog 1.0 xfactor (ini file) and 100ads ingame doesnt seem to work for many but it might be worth a try if you are a 360 distance guy

i must say that using only one scope type has an advantage since the better scaling of either 100% horizontal or 0% offer to you unfortunately ubi never really payed any attention to proper gun scaling and using both scope kinds tends  to mess with your brain

youve perfectly described my issue. I have to use only red dots/ADS, and I couldnt seem to get good settings for even the red dots, it just doesnt feel right no matter what I use. Really frustrating that a competitiveFPS has issues like this with the core aiming mechanics.

if the 1x scopes feel wrong for you use either 75% or 100% horizontal i have recently moved to this and my aim works fine across games (takes a bit of getting used to not using acog at all but i jst use the red dot on echo  and play different angles) 100% is nice for 16;9 and is pretty much what is used in games like battlefield  uniform soldier aiming unfortunately siege doesnt scale so 1x scopes for me i can get reliable frags on 16;9 74 fov so it doesnt actually bother me

our issue is pretty much the reason why most siege pros just use 83(.3333) ads for the 360 distance which honestly spoken i would not go back to after having tried the other methods given  here , it also slightly explains the 1x meta in pro play

me as well as countless others have written to ubi about this and you end up getting the good old " you are very passionate about this topic and this will reach the dev team answer " that is the equivalent of the shredder being turned on and destroying a letter of inquiry infornt of the creator
