Southpaw Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 My thought process is, if you set your resolution to say, 1080x1080, and make sure there are black bars instead of stretched, shouldn't your FOV be 74 Hdeg 4:3 both horizontally and vertically? If so, then both you horizontal and vertical mouse movement shouldn't have any chance of feeling different. Sure, you have a lower horizontal FOV, but it'll be more consistent. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Quackerjack Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 its already the same mouse movement only different is u see more on the sides but the speed is the same
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted August 5, 2019 Wizard Posted August 5, 2019 If you stretch it won't be 1:1 anymore, so you need adjust the m_yaw or m_pitch to counter the stretching. But as long as you use a non stretched resolution, be it with black bars or full screen, the movement will be 1:1.
Southpaw Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 How do I know how much to change the m_pitch or m_yaw by to keep consistent?
Drimzi Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 There is no reason what so ever to reduce the horizontal resolution if your not stretching. The only benefit would be slightly more fps.
jabbothehut Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) another solution ive found is to go to the config file and force the game into 1920x1920 resolution. Of course your game wont be able to display 1920 pixels on the y axis but it does change the fov to be uniform! Even stretched it makes the fov the same on both sides and using 0% MM it gives you very nice movement. Try it out and see what you think! Edit: Disregard, was placebo Edited August 6, 2019 by jabbothehut

Do like this in the calculator: Set the conversion method for hipfire to MDH 0% Select "Calculate m_yaw" as the special option for CSGO for both input and output game Use the monitors native resolution for input and the game resolution for output Leave pitch default
