Knowmercy Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 hey, just signed up. amazing website and tool still confused about a few things: BFV is my main squeeze. in the in-game BFV options settings, it says: 74 vertical FoV, and 90 horizontal FoV. however in the calculator settings I can't get it to say 74/90 under the "ACTUAL" values when i put in my settings. I did a bit of googling and you can only get 74 vertical fov with 90 horizontal if your on 4:3, does BFV not display the correct settings for 16:9? Makes me think ive been playing 106 horizontal fov (74 vertical in BFV) all this time when i thought it was 90. im getting different values for the variety of scopes in Hunt: Showdown, depending on if i use my BFV in game sense vs my 360. Its confusing me and still feels way off in Hunt My BFV settings: 2560x1440p 16:9 27" monitor 1600 dpi 5.775" 360 ADS FOV/Uniform Soldier Aiming: ON 133% Coefficient 74 Vfov (set in the settings, to get it to say Hfov:90 on the right side of the screen, but is that really 106 Hfov for 16:9?) any help would be greatly appreciated for me and the squad. cheers
stereo3D Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 actual hFOV depends on the aspect ratio. so in your case 106.52°. set everything to MDH 75 % in the conversion setup. Correct, it displays the 4:3 HFOV regardless of your actual aspect ratio.
Knowmercy Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 (edited) thanks for the responses. they should really fix that for bfv, just another oversight i guess. 5 hours ago, DPI Wizard said: Correct, it displays the 4:3 HFOV regardless of your actual aspect ratio. thanks for the responses, they should fix this 8 hours ago, stereo3D said: actual hFOV depends on the aspect ratio. so in your case 106.52°. set everything to MDH 75 % in the conversion setup. Would all 4 fields in the conversion setup need to be set to 75%?. attached image is what I came up with without adjusting the MDH, it feels better but still not perfect Edited August 4, 2019 by Knowmercy
stereo3D Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 uniform soldier aiming coefficient 133 % = MDV 133 % = MDH 75 %
