Mass Effect: Andromeda

Hey, so i converted my CS:GO sensitivity (1.1 800dpi) and i put the results in the ProfOpts_profile but in game when i aim in with guns its definitely slower. I was wondering if instead of converting to 360 degrees i should convert to viewspeed but i have no idea what that is and if it would help me lol. I have the fov set to 1.5 in Andromeda and i put that into the converter so that's not where i'm messing up so i don't know hopefully someone can help me figure this out. Thanks in advance.

My problem with it is when I ads and the sens gets slower which I definitely have had a problem with back in me3

Yeah it is really off to me, aiming and the sensitivity being lower makes it almost annoying. I'm wondering if there is a conversion that will take my cs:go sensitivity and convert it for ads instead of hip fire in Andromeda. That's why i was asking about that viewspeed thing as i'm unsure what that is.

Nice, i tried viewspeed and that seems to be exactly what Andromeda needs. Thanks!

Hopefully at some point they make it so you can change ads and hip fire separately.

How did you do it with the viewspeed? I've tried to convert my cs:go sens to viewspeed in ME:A and it gave me a lower sens.

Yeah now I doubt it. It's been my gripe since forever in the franchise.

I tried to convert the 3200 DPI / 1.25 sens from Overwatch to this game but neither my hip nor aimed sens was even close, they were both way to low on Mass Effect Andromeda.

The conversion is definitely not accurate at all.

I'll re-check it. Did you check if the calculated 360 distance is correct, or does it just feel too low?

Actually I've never used the distance feature, don't know how to use it.

Tested, double checked and triple checked now, with your exact settings.

Everything is correct, but I think the issue is that a 3rd person feels slower than first person view because the camera pivots around the character.

If you compare how far you have to move your mouse to aim at something 3-4 inches away from your monitor edge, you'll see that the distance is about the same between the games.

From my own testing I found the default Vertical FOV at a 1.0 'Field of View Multiplier' to be 60 not 65 as in the calculator. That may account for things feeling a little off.

I did a 360 turn to compare though, my post wasn't only based on a feeling. I also changed the DPI on Mass Effect Andromeda, set it to 1600. I'll try with 3200 DPI later.

Why wouldn't you recommend to type the exact value in ProfOpts_profile and just save the file?

Ok now I get it. Yesterday I did the test with my weapon out. When I holster the weapon, the sensibility is equivalent to what I have on overwatch. This game has 3 different sens values!

No weapon, weapon out and while aiming... :/ Why would they do that...

Yup. They. ME3 had two with no other sens options. ME:A has 3 and still no sens options besides the weapon holstered. I, for one, would love an ADS option in the calculator or if anyone would be able to find out how to match the three of them :/

I second that, if we could get more options in the calculator, it would be awesome.

To "trick" the calculator into supplying a sensitivity to match a 360 while ADSing (or any zoom level you desire) use the following formula: (ScopeZoom / 60) * FOVMultiplier plug the result into the FOV box with FOV Multiplier selected.

ScopeZoom = 60 to match weapon holstered, 45 to match weapon out (hip fire), 25 to match ADS, 16 to match Pistol Scope and 12 to match Sniper Scope.

FOVMultiplier is value contained in your ProfOpts file.

Hope this helps
