I need some clarity on my config FOVs.

Sorry I didn't know how to title this post as the issue is a little more specific.

In my main game, Rainbow Six, there's no really efficient way to practice so I wanted to practice in CS:GO.

In converting FOVs I found I was setting my CS:GO config FOV to Rainbow Six's actual FOV.

I've felt no difference but I wanted to make sure for ease of thought and so that I know in-case there really is an issue.

My stuff is below here, I thank anyone who helps me in advance :)

The calculation is correct, but remember that CSGO does not allow you to change FOV unless you also have "sv_cheats 1" active, i.e. cheats enabled. This only work offline or on servers with this enabled. Without this changing the FOV variable will do nothing. Also note that the zoom sensitivity affect FOV changes, so if it's set to a different value than 1 it will be different than the calculation shows.

Oh yeah I did reading on some of the other threads about sv_cheats. But when I practice should I be setting my fov to 82.91 (Actual HFOV) or the config FOV? I don't know if my muscle memory built thus far would be worth anything if I play Rainbow at 60 FOV. I hope that makes sense.

If you want to practice this iron sight setting in CSGO, you must have cheats enabled and set the config FOV in CSGO to "fov_cs_debug 67.05". So for the calculations to be correct it's important that sv_cheats is set to 1 and this FOV is applied. If you play on regular CSGO FOV set the FOV in the calculator to the default Hdeg 4:3 90.
