throwawayapex Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 - Just a little confused on converting fov's, because everygame seems to use a different ratio or whatever - I like playing csgo on 16:10 stretched (1680x1050 or 1728x1080) - When converting fov's should i always try and match 100~ degrees horizontal, or is there a better method that people prefer? - For example in kovaak right now i'm using - Maybe I need to just stop playing csgo stretched and just play on 16:9 to just have a more easily transferred muscle memory?
maidjerry Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 FOV to high lets you see more but distorts your view at the edges. FOV to low and you look trough a bog roll and don't get your nice panorama when enjoying a outlook plus near things can appear to big. I prefer 86...88. Pro-gamer are always maxing this option out. Furthermore lowering the FOV lengthens the way needed for a 180 degree turn, rising the FOV shortens way needed for a 180 degree turn. But only marginal. A mate (global elite) tried to flick shot at 60 Hz for a week (unintended because of a windows update) and missed half the time. When he set back to 144 Hz also his well placed flick shots where back. This is what I think about building up muscle memory.
