EagleEyeGirl Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Hi there, Thank you for clicking on my post! I play Fortnite and I have my sensitivity on 0.14 400 DPI. If I wish to change this sensitivity using the converter this website provides, would it work If I convert the sensitivity to PUBG? I know PUBG is a first person and it is completely different game but does it work? I also want to change my sensitivity from Fortnite to this new game I bought called The Division 2 but this game, although its 3rd person, you can't change the FOV. So would it still work if the FOV is different? Thanks
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted April 25, 2019 Wizard Posted April 25, 2019 Both of them will work, and you can change FOV in Division 2. It's a bit weirdly named, but under the gameplay settings you have the option "Additional Field of Vision" which is the FOV. The calculator will tell you what FOV you actually have based on the this value.

So just to clarify, I can change my sens from a third person (fortnite) to a first person (PUBG) and it'll feel the same?

You can either match 360 distance (same mouse movement to turn 360 degrees), some monitor distance (aiming at a specific point on the monitor is the same distance) or tracking speed (MDH 0%, same mouse speed for tracking a moving target). You can only use one method as the difference in FOV will make it impossible to get the benefit of more than one. If the FOV is the same all methods will result in the exact same sensitivity. In PUBG you can switch between first and third person so you can easily check if the method used by the game (MDH 100%) suits you.
EagleEyeGirl Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 Thank you. Because of you.. I ended up paying for a monthly subscription. I got one favour to ask... Am I allowed to share a screenshot of the conversion I've done to you and you can tell me if I've done it correctly please?

EagleEyeGirl Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 I use 10% on division 2 for general/aim is this the right values for pubg? I did try but I felt the ads for pubg was lighter. Once again thankx
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted April 25, 2019 Wizard Posted April 25, 2019 Simple mode forces third person calculations for PUBG, if you play in first person you have to use the advanced option. Do you have the FOV to 90 in PUBG?
EagleEyeGirl Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 No I have it on Default. So I have to change the FOV the same on every game?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted April 25, 2019 Wizard Posted April 25, 2019 Just now, EagleEyeGirl said: No I have it on Default. So I have to change the FOV the same on every game? No, it's not necessary and in many cases not possible. It is however best for consistency. Do you find the ADS in PUBG to be too fast?
EagleEyeGirl Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 Yes. I feel like the ADS/Scope are too light but the general sens is perfect

I feel like the ADS/Scope are too light but the general sens is perfect You are probably better off matching the ADS to PUBG itself and not Division 2. Everything is matched to the hipfire sensitivity of the game you are converting from, so in your case this works for hipfire to hipfire, but not hipfire to ADS. So use the calculated PUBG sensitivity, and convert from this to the ADS and scopes like this:
