Guest Maxi Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 U sure warface mapping is correct? I try to sync cs:go w/ warface and it dosnt seem to work. Accel is off for sure using 800dpi@125hz
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 6, 2013 Author Wizard Posted November 6, 2013 Is it off by much? Warface has a lot of issues registering mouse input, even at 125 Hz. If you move your mouse slowly the crosshair won't move at all
Guest Nervy Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Warface seems to be way of with the sensitivity in minecaft i do a 360 in 4in and in Warface i do 2 360s in 4in (the DPI of my mouse is 100 i think, i dont know how to see what my DPI is so
Guest Nervy Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 it seems that the default in Warface is the same as minecraft's default witch is 100% in minecraft (0.5) and 45 in Warface
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 8, 2013 Author Wizard Posted November 8, 2013 I'm checking these soon. Warface is as you probably know pretty terrible on mouse response (if you move your mouse slowly nothing is registered), so it's hard to measure it.
Guest Felipe Cunha Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 i'm not getting this problem with small counts but i got it once and at this time your calculation was working but when i restarted the game and came back to the normal, your calculations didn't work it out
stereo3D Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 warface sensitivity is too high by a factor of 2.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 9, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 9, 2014 Strange. Are you sure acceleration is turned off, and raw mouse input is on? Also, are you using default FOV?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 9, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 9, 2014 I'll check it! Btw, what numberes where yiu using, and what was the measured result?
stereo3D Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 ut3, fov 100, 724 dpi, sens 4.4 -> 47 cm in warface sens 8 gives me the same distance (which i then reduced to 7 because the fov is smaller. vfov 60 in warface / vfov 68 in ut3)
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 10, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 10, 2014 Hi! I think acceleration makes the calculation seem off. They are correct for 100% unaccelerated movement, however this is only possible to achieve with scripting (which is what I do). I plan to add customizable acceleration to the calculations in the future
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 10, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 10, 2014 I don't know if they've fixed this in Warface yet, but as stated in the notes, Warface does not register single counts. This means that if you move your mouse really slowly, the crosshair will not move at all. The experienced effect is that a lot of counts from the mouse are dropped, and you need to lower the sensitivity to get the correct distance. This is a workaround, and hard to calculate... If you try one 360 with very slow movement, and one with rapid movement, are they the same distance?
Guest Dasith Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Hi. I've got the same issue. I have 40cm mouse pad and a deathadder 2013 with 1600dpi. It says I have 31cm for 360 but it's more like 40+.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 11, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 11, 2014 Can you check if you have the same issue with other games, also if the distance is the same with slow and fast movement? There might be some driver related acceleration going on here.
stereo3D Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 yes, same distance.... no accel, no deadzone. maybe try the new warface launcher?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 11, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 11, 2014 I will, reporting back soon!
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 11, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 11, 2014 You were absolutely right, the correct sensitivity is half of what the calculator said. The mouse response is very good now, as opposed to when I tested it initially. Thanks for notifying me, the calculator is updated now
Guest absurdo Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Hello, If i want my ingame sensitivity to be the same as my windows desktop sensitivity, what should i choose in Warface settings? I use 6/11 in windows settings and 800 dpi in my mouse.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 12, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 12, 2014 This is an upcoming feature, but it's not quite ready yet.
Guest absurdo Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 But do you know how to answer this? besides the new site feature...i kinda need this asap. thx!
Guest ethereal Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 You can use this equation: S (cm/360) = 360*/((dpi/2.54)*wps)
Guest ethereal Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 ...but it's never gonna be exatcly the same, since on desktop there's no precise sensitivity change (as per in_game value).
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 13, 2014 Author Wizard Posted February 13, 2014 There is a way of doing this precisely, but you need resolution and probably FOV as well to calculate it. And there's no universal equation that will work, it will need to be integrated into the existing game algortihms. I'm working on it
Nove Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I play on 800 DPI and 22 Sensitivity on Warface and I do about a 380 on a whole swipe of the mouse pad. I used the caculator to convert it for other games I tried tons of other games and the sensitivty is almost double mine on Warface. My aim on Warface is flawless and I was wondering if you could fix the caculator?
