How do you get MMD and adjust sensitivity multipliers?

So I've run into a few things here with the calculator and nothing makes sense as to how it's working. I get the concept of 360° Rotation, where you rotate the view 360° to line up to a single vertical line. I get the concept of monitor match distance, where the center of your monitor is 0%, half the distance between the center and the edge is 50%, and the edge is 100%.

  • How do you even do monitor matching though?
  • How do you get the percentage ruler overlay on my game; how do I know how to line up a line in the game to 25% the distance between my crosshair and the edge of my view?
  • After I get it on my game, what do I use to measure the monitor match distance, like what is measuring the counts per inch my mouse is moving?
  • How is 0% even an option; like if the crosshair is the 0% mark, then what distance is there, what is even being measured if you don't move the crosshair at all?

I was entering in values last night and it kept changing the conversions after resets and insisting that I actually move the mouse 0.9 inches on the mouse pad to do a full rotation which is ludicrous. It's not doing that anymore for some reason.

In Fortnite I have the ADS and Scoped sensitivity multipliers set to 0.372844 and 0.1789193 of the actual primary 0.02677385 sensitivity. When I try putting the values in though the multiplier fields are "N/A", and then the numbers below say that I have actually entered in multiplier values?

I'm trying to convert to Apex Legends and the Fortnite 0.02677385 value converts to Apex 2.704159. If I want the ADS multiplier to be 0.373 of my primary sensitivity, just as it is in Fortnite, the math 2.704159*0.373 comes out to a multiplier of "1.00865125105" which makes NO sense because that's FASTER than the original sensitivity. I can't even wrap my head around why the game even gives you the option to crank your ADS sensitivity up to 1800% of the primary sensitivity.

So I've put in the primary sensitivity in the game but I don't feel like I'm landing my shots in Apex as consistently as I do in Fortnite. How do I get it to match in both games? I need this explained to me like I'm five because the algebraic diagrams don't explain how to use the tool to get the values I need, just how the tool gets to those numbers.
