j3asy Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 Hey, I am new to this and am struggling to figure out the correct way to use the calculator to convert my fortnite sens to apex legends. Is there an optimal way to set up the calculator? So far I am just doing: convert (fortnite all sens) to apex legends (all sens + ads). I don't mess with the any setting other than DPI. The values I get I proceed to input into the Apex config file. Again, is there a more optimal "correct" way to use the calculator? Thanks for your help

The ingame value is irrelevant. Holo = All 1x scopes, and ironsights for pistols (not RE-45), smgs and shotguns. ADS = ironsights for lmg, ar, snipers 2x, 3x, 4x, 8x is not in the calculator, and 6x and 10x is the kraber. Thanks for clarifying, so i'll have setup my fov to 102.3127 in the calculator and try again. Anyway yeah now that's clear, Initially I used ADS for the calculations and i was feeling really weird with my aim. Edited February 17, 2019 by Insight_BF
a708897553 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I change hipfire cl_fovScale 0.791613 SO ADS fov Will it be affected? Hope to be answered Thank!
ZeroN2K Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Hey im confused on a big basis. As i searched through the whole thread and tried to learn how to calculate correct for hours i willing to ask for help. My english is not the best i think thats the whole reason why i cant understand everything. I tried to recalculate black ops 4(mainly tried to find my correct sense there) to apex but gave up on that so i used my old csgo sens(as black ops was based on that) i want that my 1x scopes have the same Sensitivity as hipfire on counter strike: (im using FOV 87 as i want to a 104 FOV on apex and cl_fovScale "1.252273" * 70 are nearly 87 correct?) hope someone can help me i really just want to train but i hate to play on a wrong sens(as my memory muscle cant learn like that) Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - Hipfire Sensitivity 1: sensitivity "2.5" 360° distance: 6.5455 inches Config FOV: fov_cs_debug 90 Actual VFOV: 73.74 degrees Actual HFOV: 106.26 degrees Apex Legends - Holo Sensitivity 1: mouse_sensitivity "2.5" Multiplier 1: mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 "1.246339" 360° distance: 6.5455 inches Discrepancy: 0% (0 inches) Config FOV: Field of View 87 Actual VFOV: 59.46 degrees Actual HFOV: 90.86 degrees

ballin4life Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I've been searching around trying to figure out how to get the correct ADS sensitivity. I use zoomsensitivity 1 in quake live which (based on my testing) seems to mean that your 360 degree sens is multiplied by the ratio of your zoom FOV to normal FOV. So if your normal FOV is 90 and your zoom FOV is 45, you would have to move your mouse twice as far for a 360 when zoomed. Is it even possible to get this behavior in Apex? Different guns have different FOV when ADSing, and obviously different sights change the FOV as well. I've been trying to find info on this but it seems like every reddit post gives different information. I'm also not sure how the above would translate to concepts like monitor match etc on the calculator.
Mrl1717 Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 (edited) @DPI WizardAm I doing this right? Trying to convert Shroud’s sensitivity over to a 3440x1440 34” monitor. His cm/360 are ~34 whereas mine would be ~25. Would this give me the same feeling sensitivity wise or should I use 360 distance to get a closer feel? I realize this is probably due to aspect ratio and FOV. thanks Edited February 19, 2019 by Mrl1717

Example of a large and small monitor with the same focal length. Small monitor has 90 fov, large monitor has 127 fov.
assassinsun Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 @DPI Wizard Sry to bother. Is this correct if I want to covert CSGO hipfire sens to Apex hipfire and zoomed sens if Apex's fov is set to 104 ? Confused cos the input of several times is exactly the same but the calculation gives two results of zoomed sens (1.343601 and 1.279942 ). What's the reason of this? THX a lot
David_121412 Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 (edited) Can anyone help me out? I subscribed like 3 times already but barely used the service :(. Tyler228 Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Can someone help convert FOV Apex Legends to Aimig.pro ?
Mrl1717 Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 @Drimzi so this would be the correct settings? Thanks for the reply.
Dubtechnic Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Can someone help me when using my Fortnite sens over to Apex Legends? When using the sens given, something feels way off, almost as if it feels slower in apex legends, is this because of third to first person or FOV change?
Drimzi Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 11 hours ago, Mrl1717 said: @Drimzi so this would be the correct settings? Thanks for the reply. You would need to have your field of view set to ~109 to fit Shroud's 104 fov into the 24.5" portion of your monitor (assuming he has a typical 24.5" 240hz monitor).

DiabolicNick Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 So i run csgo with a .28 sens on 4800 dpi witha 3840 x 2160 res and 90 fov. What would all my apex stuff be?
Murphy Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 (edited) @DPI Wizard I have a question. (I can't English well, I am using translator.) I played only overwatch. So I don't know about FPS games. I want to convert overwatch to apex legends. I cant understand what is FOV type. What should I do with fov type in over watch and Apex? I use a 16: 9 monitor and the setting in the game is 16: 9. I do not know what to set between hdeg 4: 3 and vrad for each. I do not play cs: go. I could only find the answer that Apex and cs: go were the same. I'm confused. thanks. Edited February 20, 2019 by Murphy

Falcon Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I found the following websites that shows the zoom FoV for every weapon and the optics for it, not sure how accurate it is, but could be useful i guess https://rez.gg/apex They also already got the stats for the new weapon that is coming out in a couple hours: https://rez.gg/apex/weapon/mp_weapon_energy_ar

Murphy Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 I'm really sorry, but I do not know what to do with the fov type in the calculator. When using APEX LEGENDS as default, what should I use HDEg16: 9 and Hrad16: 9? Just a little inaccurate, so let me know what options I have to choose from the calculator.

Use Hdeg 4:3 and the number you see in-game. Alternatively use the dedicated Config File FOV calculation and the FOV multiplier from the config file. An update is coming tomorrow that uses the multiplier FOV for everything when config file is selected as location.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted February 21, 2019 Author Wizard Posted February 21, 2019 All config file calculations now support the config file FOV multiplier! HappyDreams 1
