Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 26, 2019 Wizard Posted January 26, 2019 Added with hipfire sensitivity, more coming soon!
Valarri Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 There's negative acceleration in the game isn't it?

But I'm going through the config file now and let you know if I find another way to fix it. This is the CPI setting (Steelseries mouse) and not the polling rate right? Edit: should have just tried it sooner, changing it to 200 CPI helped massively. Thanks! Edited January 26, 2019 by Noupoi

No, the polling rate. Set it as low as possible. If it feel very jerky increase it a bit. 9 minutes ago, Noupoi said: Edit: should have just tried it sooner, changing it to 200 CPI helped massively. Thanks! Low CPI also works since the mouse sends fewer packets.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 26, 2019 Author Wizard Posted January 26, 2019 I found a way to completely eliminate negative acceleration, updating calculator soon!
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 26, 2019 Author Wizard Posted January 26, 2019 Updated the game now. Select config file calculation and re-calculate your sensitivity with the GstInput.MouseSensitivity value set to 1 and you will eliminate all acceleration. Noupoi 1
iBerggman Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 How does the game run, I mean should I be excited for the open demo next weekend? It's difficult to judge performance based on youtube since everyone seems to put it on the ultra preset for some reason whereas I usually leave textures, and maybe aa and effects higher and turn down pretty much everything else to medium/low.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 26, 2019 Author Wizard Posted January 26, 2019 Runs great here, except from the first mission not loading lol. iBerggman 1
Skwuruhl Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 The calculated sensitivity still works however. Also is it GstInput.MouseSensitivity 1 specifically that removes acceleration or would a lower value of say, 0.2 remove even more?

The hipfire sensitivity is perfect now, but my ADS sensitivity is far too low, even if it's set to 100% in game. Is there something else to change?

Set all your sensitivities to the new value in the config GstInput.DylanOption_MouseFlightSensitivity GstInput.DylanOption_MouseSwimSensitivity GstInput.MouseAimSensitivity GstInput.MouseZoomedSensitivity I also personally found 0% flight/swim precision to feel the best for flying. There's a bug in the code somewhere with how sensitivity 2 is handled, switched it to multiplier 2 which works as expected! Edit: GstInput.MouseSensitivity 1 is without any acceleration as far as I can tell. I'm not sure where the cutoff is, but with 1 it's about perfect.

Skwuruhl Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 31 minutes ago, Noupoi said: Interesting... What's the difference between precision and response? Okay so the 3 flight settings: Sensitivity controls how quickly the flight cursor moves. Pretty obvious. Precision makes it so if you move your mouse slowly then the sensitivity is lowered further. Basically a mouse acceleration curve. Response I think adjusts how sharp you turn when moving the cursor. So say you move the cursor 50 pixels to the right and keep it there. Response controls how much you'll turn while the cursor is at that position. Noupoi 1
roti Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 (edited) Hmm, I'm having some weird issues with the aim down sights sensitivity while following these instructions. I'm not sure if maybe that's just the way that Anthem works or not though. With GstInput.MouseSensitivity set to 1 in the config and GstInput.MouseAimSensitivity set to 25.088625 (based on the calculation using my normal sens), what I experience is that regular aim feels just about perfect for the fov. However, when I aim down sights, I basically cannot aim. My sens drops to something so low that I effectively cannot turn my camera. Is this the way that it is supposed to work? 8 hours ago, Skwuruhl said: Set all your sensitivities to the new value in the config GstInput.DylanOption_MouseFlightSensitivity GstInput.DylanOption_MouseSwimSensitivity GstInput.MouseAimSensitivity GstInput.MouseZoomedSensitivity I also personally found 0% flight/swim precision to feel the best for flying. Nvm, ignore my post. I missed the comment above about ADS. Sorry. Edited January 27, 2019 by roti
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 27, 2019 Author Wizard Posted January 27, 2019 I wasn't able to load a mission until now, all the current calculations are based on the 1st person view in the hub. The 3rd person javelin view has horrible mouse controls, so calculations are not correct for that unfortunately. Hopefully they will do something about this before release.

Hi DPI Wizard does reducing polling rate reduce acceleration?

From what I gathered from the beta no, it won't help. It was really terrible, so unless they fix it for release it will be impossible to do any calculations.
Psyqhical Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 (edited) Quick little problem. When I set the "GstInput.MouseSensitivity" to "1" I can no longer look around while Flying/swimming. Any work-around? Edited February 2, 2019 by Psyqhical

Psyqhical Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I found a work-around! Just changed my "GstInput.DylanOption_MouseFlightSensitivity" and "GstInput.DylanOption_MouseSwimSensitivity" to the same sens as my "GstInput.MouseAimSensitivity" and I was able to fly and swim normally again. Captain Funsponge Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) Setting GstInput.MouseSensitivity to 1 is super slow though, how are you counteracting that? Increasing DPI/CPI on your mouse? Edited February 3, 2019 by Captain Funsponge
