philheath Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 when I convert to battlefield 5, with USA ON OR OFF, there is no change in terms of 360, or mouse distance, is the calculator not working properly? normally with USA ON it matches your hipfire sensitivity/or makes it quite faster than having it off, but in bf5 in the calculator the measurement is the same
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 24, 2018 Wizard Posted November 24, 2018 There's no difference for 1.00X because it has no magnification with ADS FOV On. USA only makes a difference when the scope FOV is different from the base FOV. So if you turn ADS FOV off with your settings you'll see a difference
philheath Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 SAME FOV, different sensitivity options in bf4, in bf5 no change? im confused

(Generally you should disregard the scope power of different games, they vary a lot even though they have the same name.)
philheath Posted November 24, 2018 Author Posted November 24, 2018 I think I understand, I know bf5 fov 1x matches your actual ingame FOV, so uniform soldier aiming only effects scopes higher than 1x? bf5 fov 1x is basically bf4 hipfire fov, so the sensitivity doesn't change with usa on or off
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 24, 2018 Wizard Posted November 24, 2018 Correct, USA will match the sensitivity compared to your configured FOV, and in BFV 1x is the same as configured FOV while in BF4 1x is FOV*(50/55) with FOV scaling on.

Do you recommend ADS FOV off or ON for muscular memory?, im confused with this option, i see all the games i play,(pubg, tarkov), have Ads fov off, only battlefield have this option.
Drimzi Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 It just means the ADS is not a hardcoded fov, but will be based off your hipfire fov. This way if the red dot sight was set to zoom in a tiny bit relative to the hipfire fov, and the user increased the fov dramatically, the red dot will still zoom in a tiny bit relative to the hipfire. If it was hardcoded, the zoom difference between the two would be comparable to a sniper scope instead. So it's up to you whether you want that hardcoded fov, at the expense of a huge difference between ads and hipfire, or have the fov scale based on your hipfire.
