Mastercalc Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Hey there, I'm wondering how the sensitivity calcualtions for this site are developed, wether just by accurate measurement or if its possible to somehow extract the exact way of calculations from the game files. In the latter case I would be really interested to learn about how this is done. I guess it depends on the engine used, so games with the same engine use the same calculations?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 21, 2018 Wizard Posted November 21, 2018 All games are analyzed with scripts etc, and the sensitivity is reverse-engineered. Except for a handful of games the sensitivity formula is 100% correct. The exceptions usually have some issues making accurate calculations impossible, but they are usually within 0.X% accurate. Extracting the sensitivity from the game files is probably possible for some games, but not really feasible as a method since there so many different engines and not possible for most of them. Games using the same engine usually share sensitivity or at least part of the formula, but there are a lot of exceptions where same engines use totally different formulas. Mastercalc 1
