thanks! btw i think for the usa coefficient the following note should be removed or changed:

"Important: If "ADS Field of View" is off, leave the FOV at the default 55, if it is on, enter your configured FOV."

because in order get the correct coefficient, i have to use the same fov for both hip fire and usa coefficient, even with ads scaling off.

Okay, I read every 9 pages and I guess a have a pretty good idea from what the coefficient is.

But there is still one question I can't answere myself: What excacly does a coefficient of 0.0000 does?

Is it like the game is seen as a 2D surface?

For me 0.000 feelts the best. Better than 1.33 or any other value, and I have no clue why, I thought 1.33 should feel " most natural" cause the majority is using it :P

That´s what ethereal wrote before:

At coefficient 0, for a fixed mouse velocity, things under the cross-hair will move at the same 2D SCREEN velocity at all scope FOVs.

This is a different way to try to define "same turn-rate for every scope". Instead of matching a certain crosshair displacement to a certain mouse movement, we're matching a certain mouse movement to a certain movement speed of things under the crosshair.

But I really agree what Bernd Matthys wrote - even if it´s some work it might avoid further work by answering the same questions over and over again...

Indeed, it should be opposite for the coefficient, enter the configured FOV regardless of the setting. Some numbers will be off though, but the important output is the coefficient value.

Calculation (for sights) is off for me :/

Any ideas why?

Here are my Settings:

Raw Input on; DPI 600; 0.0104 sens; USA On; Coefficient 0; SoldierZoomSensitivityALL 1.00 ; All scopes are at 1.00 (default) sens; ADS scaling off

2.00x Sights should give me 86.2947cm, but handtestet it is like 120cm

1.00x Sights in your calculator gives the same 360 distance (43.18cm) as hip fire, but it is defenitly not the same. 1.00x Sights are slower than hipfire.

No, but it doesnt matter for the calculation, at least the 360 distance does not change if I change the fov as you can see below.

That's a bug in the calculator, it should change. Will fix!

Yeah, it is working correctly now :D

With 73.74 fov I need 115.69cm (I hand tested arround 120cm, but I guess yours is correct and I was just lazy! :P )

I need to work on the FOV part a bit more, it's not working correctly in all scenarios atm. I really don't want to create different aims for "ADS FOV" on and off, so I hope I can find a solution.

Really appreciate your hard work DPI Wizard !!

If someone is interested: I solved my the problem with the conversion from the Bf3/4 8x Sniper Zoom sensitivity to the one in Bf1 :)

If you use USA 1.33 and a vfov of 73.74 than use: GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivity8x00 1.355320

When using USA 0.00 use GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivity8x00 1.715219 ;)

I can confirm the values by hand tests

It feels a little bit more sensetiv cause the fov is smaller on 8x zooms in bf1 than in Bf3/4, but it made my aim pretty much the same like like in older Battlefield titles ;)

All sights in BF1. In BF4 it was only the ironsights.

You sir need to be awarded a nobel prize. Just messed around with the calculator and found that out as well (always seem to answer my own damn questions lol). Yet again thanks so much for taking time out of your day to do all this for us. As the meme states "not all heroes wear capes".

Playing without ads field of view would be the best, right? Or should 1x zoom have the same fov as when not aiming down the sights?

Preferences.

Depends dude. If you're a big fan of bf3/bc2 then I would recommend leaving it off so you get that zoom when in ads. From what I've gathered if you want the same zoom level for irons in bf1 as you didn in bf3 with rds/kobra then set sights to 2.00x zoom, turn on ads field of view, and then set your fov to 72. Should be pretty much identical when in ads in terms of zoom for iron sights. However you're gnna have to change your sensitivity for zoom to half your ads hipfire to get the same exact feel as bf3. Sorry if you've never even played bf3. Was just using that as my reference point as it was my main fps games for ages.

If you're a big fan of csgo however then i'd say keep the irons at 1.00x zoom and turn on ads fov option to get no zoom as it will feel more natural. Also make sure

that uniform aiming option is on to get a 1:1 ads hipfire sensitivity to mimic csgo.

But to which setting is the the calculator working for? There is no option to change it.

if you change the fov value it assumes you're using ads fov option on. If you're not using it then leave it at the default 55.

Edit: I may be wrong! DPI Wizard will know!

That was the intent, but it doesn't work unfortunately.
