CSGO to R6 sensitivity calculator

Hello everyone,

First, yes, i buyed for 2 month the calculator...

So i was trying to use the calculator for R6 for quite a moment now. I managed to use it with PUBG, Fortnite, etc, without a problem but when it came to R6... It's just mind blowing, i don't get a single thing. I even tried to read the guide from "General discussions" and the thread by Wizard but  still... Talking about "Discrepancy" i don't even know what that is...

There are game file settings and settings in-game, from what i understand, there are multiplier that will be mainly use and not the simple slider ingame cause that's different with the FOV and sens multiplier and... Ok i'm dead.

Anyway, you get it, i need your help.

My CSGO sens : 2.2, DPI: 400, monitor 23 inch, ingame resolution in both games : 1440x1080

Thanks in advance !

You have the sensitivity value, and the pitch/yaw values. Most games have the pitch/yaw already set to a predetermined value, and makes the user configure the sensitivity value. For Rainbow Six, they let the user define all of these values.

The sensitivity value multiplied by the pitch value determines the actual sensitivity for the vertical, and the sensitivity value multiplied by the yaw value determines the actual sensitivity for the horizontal. You may have heard of CS:GO using 0.022 pitch/yaw. CS:GO set to 1 sensitivity will result in 1 * 0.022 = 0.022 degrees rotated per mouse count. If CS:GO had 0.011 pitch/yaw, 2 sensitivity would result in the same thing. 2 * 0.011 = 0.022 degrees rotated per mouse count. For Rainbow Six, it doesn't really matter what you set the pitch/yaw, or sensitivity multiplier unit to, the calculator will output the correct value to result in the correct combination of values. Just make sure you set all the values to the same ones in the calculator output.

For the least discrepancy (error percentage between the rounded value and the true value), set the pitch/yaw value to 1.

MousePitchSensitivity=1
MouseYawSensitivity=1
MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=x.xxxxxx

For ADS, same principle but you are fine with the default 50 value. There is only one sensitivity value that handles both ACOG and Ironsights, which have different FOVs, so you have to choose to correctly convert your sensitivity for just one.

AimDownSightsMouse=50
XFactorAiming=x.xxxxxx

If you wanted to copy something like Fortnite or PUBG with the 70% vertical sensitivity, you would set

MousePitchSensitivity=0.700000

If you want to match CS:GO's hipfire magnification, you want Rainbow Six set to 74 FOV (73.74 if you want to be exact, but it's always safer to use integers for FOV).

DefaultFOV=74

Thanks for your answer,

I think i understand the system right, these command don't do nothing and must be set to 1 in the config file :

MouseYawSensitivity
MousePitchSensitivity

But what commands are really doing something is these :

MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit= Hipfire sens
XFactorAiming= Aiming sens

Is that right ?

I tried to do all these in the calculator and i got these settings:

I put the "MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit" result in the config file and then did the Iron sight calculation and if i understand this system right, the "Sensitivity 2" is the "AimDownSightsMouse" number in the config file (Which is 50). And the "Multiplier 1" is the previous "MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit" which came in result : 0.029897 for the "XFactorAiming" in the config file.

I put the config file in read-only and then tried in-game and the sens seems pretty familiar to me like in CSGO.

So i guess i got it all right ? Please tell me if i'm wrong somewhere.

Thanks! (Sorry for my bad english, i'm a french guy)
